Chapter 27 - Chapter 19 — Unstoppable Attack

The situation had become really bad.

First, I lost to the bastard prince.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, a game event occurs.

A huge creature resembling a gigantic armadillo appeared.

In the game, it was called Xerxes.

That's because the color of its shell is white.

Its skin is a mix of brown and gold.

It measures perhaps a thousand meters in height and two thousand in width.

It was the favorite pet of the last demon king.

In the game, it was never explained how it got to the empire.

What I did know was that this thing was a really difficult problem to defeat.

I hoped that the protagonist and the capture targets would take care of it.

But... the shit I'm seeing right now doesn't make me happy at all!

What the hell are you doing here?!

How did you get to the empire before the four-year time skip?

Could it be that you were always here?!

Damn it! How can I defeat that thing?!

"Roooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

The enormous creature roared, annoyed.

It must be because of all the attacks that hit its large hump, which is its back.

To make everything worse, this thing had 700% defense. That is, to defeat it, we would have to sacrifice an entire city while attacking it; it would start destroying everything.

In the game, it didn't matter because they were NPCs, but right now, those NPCs are real people like my family.

Therefore, what the hell should I do to defeat it?!

If only I had told Amy what I was going to do, she would have come secretly and then helped me.

Uwahh, Amy, save me!

"Rooooooaaaaaaah!"

The enormous monster roared furiously; its eyes stared fixedly at Regulux.

Then, I watched it perform an attack from the game.

Great Stomp.

Its right leg lifted; debris from trees and earth fell.

Being as high as it could in the air, it brought it down at great speed.

The earth lifted and rippled. It looked like a tsunami.

That tsunami of earth headed straight for the prince.

He was scared; he didn't know what to do.

I could go save him, but I decided not to.

The great column of earth rose so high that it hit him in such a way that his Pegasus was instantly destroyed, and he was thrown into the sky.

"Your Highness!"

I heard a voice; it was Lambert shouting as he saw the trash prince still in the air.

Before I turned to look at him, he disappeared.

But then I felt a presence fading.

It was him. He was jumping between the earth debris at great speed, leaving an illusory silhouette of his image.

Like a princess, he caught the prince, whose eyes were white.

"Lux, respond! Are you okay? Lux!"

Lambert returned to where their resting area was.

He laid him down, and some healers went to check on him.

But that doesn't matter now; only this thing that's going to kill us all is what's important.

What the hell should I do?

◇◇◇

"What is that?!"

"Uwah! We're going to die!"

"I want to live!"

The audience was screaming in fear and running like crazy upon seeing the enormous monster that had emerged from the earth.

Only two figures were calm.

"Did you imagine something like this could happen, Dolph?"

"Of course not, instructor. You can be very funny sometimes, hahaha."

"This isn't a joke. Anyway, it's good that we came. We have work to do."

Christina stood up and shouted.

"Everyone evacuate immediately! Leave your belongings and run to the ships! If it's full, it doesn't matter; just get on and get out of here!"

"Fua~, you're certainly very good at calming them down."

"Stop wasting time and get to work. Sun Saint."

Dolph stood up and likewise called out to his teacher.

"I guess you're right, the spinster saint; alias, desperately seeking a boyfriend."

The moment Christina heard that...

"Dolph..."

Her fist descended upon her former disciple's head, sinking him into the ground.

"Don't ever call me that again in your damn life! You hear me?! I'll kill you with my own hands!"

Christina opened her eyes, and they stared intently at Goredolph.

Anyone who had seen them would have felt fear.

Not because of how she looked at him, but because of how they looked.

Two dark black sockets were her eyes.

She had eyes, but they were blackened like night.

It almost seemed like you were looking an insect in the face.

Goredolph got up laughing.

"Hahaha, instructor, you're so funny. Everyone calls you that. Besides, I can see your eyes."

Hearing that her eyes were visible, Christina immediately closed them. She was still annoyed with him.

"A-Anyway. Don't call me that again. You hear me?!"

She adjusted her hair.

Then, she removed her tunic that covered her body.

The moment she did so, everyone's eyes stared fixedly at her.

It didn't matter if they were men or women.

The figure of that elf was what they looked at with desire.

Steel boots with wings.

A very beautiful decorative sword with a greenish edge that shone in the light.

Her long braided hair swayed in the wind.

Likewise, her miniskirt did too. It was a mix between a playful and a rebellious look.

Her full midsection was exposed.

She was very curvaceous; not even the muscles she had were visible.

She was almost like a very slim model.

Above her stomach, what drew attention was her cleavage.

There was a steel bikini that held in place two enormous, fleshy fruits.

They were covered, but an opening at the top was visible so they could breathe.

The reason she was hated by female players was because of this.

Christina was very sensual.

Women felt envy towards a fictional character.

For that very reason, they sent toxic comments to the developers. They had to kill her in an event so they would stop receiving those comments.

Likewise, she was the reason men bought the game.

It was a strange, ingenious tactic.

No one lost; the company profited either way.

Unfortunately, Christina in this reality, as in the game, suffered.

Her clothing was chosen by the ministers themselves.

She is the type of woman who prefers to cover her entire body and have only her husband see her naked.

But she didn't have one, which is why she was nicknamed in such an unpleasant way.

Once both sword saints were ready.

They went to fight.

Goredolph used a very advanced Lyonnet Style footwork technique.

It was called. Radiance of Sound.

A footwork of such a high level that Razel tries to duplicate.

The swordsman gathers the magical power from within, directing it to his feet.

As his feet are full of magical power, at the moment that internal energy collides with the mana in the air, it creates a small chain reaction that generates an explosion.

In other words, a master swordsman can leap in the air and run at great speeds.

Goredolph jumped in a straight line towards the monster.

While Christina recited a spell.

"Elven magic: nymph wings."

Beautiful, transparent angel wings grew on her back.

Like a bird, Christina gave a slight jump and began to fly.

Her appearance soaring through the skies closely resembled a Valkyrie.

Her beautiful appearance combined with her sword and bikini armor made her a femme fatale.

The two sword saints headed to fight head-on with the creature that remained still.

The first to attack was Goredolph.

"Fire magic: Surtr's blazing pillar!"

Then his mentor.

"Elven magic: Deirdre's celestial slash!"

Christina made various diagonal movements; a crescent-shaped light flew at great speed, at the same time as Goredolph's whirlwind-shaped pillar.

Both attacks met, and one of the players' favorite combat systems was born.

Combined magic.

"Deirdre's flaming spiral!"

A greenish whirlwind approached at great speed straight for the monster.

The impact was great.

Its head and back were hit so hard that it even staggered back.

This was the power of 2 of the 4 sword saints.

But it had no effect.

The enormous monster frowned where its eyebrows should be.

Annoyed. It did the same thing it had done earlier.

This time it wasn't one, but two of its legs.

It was a double great stomp.

This time it wasn't just a tsunami; it was more like an earthquake of earth.

The ground was lifted, and trees flew out.

It headed straight for the place where the audience was still evacuating.

But they wouldn't allow it.

"Dolph!"

"I know!"

Cristina put her sword forward; the edge shone as she raised her voice.

"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Likewise, Goredolph, who showed his beautiful sword that looked like a red flame.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Magical power gathered within them; then, a combined attack came.

"Fire magic!"

"Elven magic!"

The red and green glow made them look like a shooting star.

Then, in unison, the attack to repel that earthquake of earth was launched.

"Elemental judgment!"

A wall of fire accompanied by gigantic air spears manifested in the air.

The spears struck the earthquake like drills and gradually stopped it, but it was still very strong.

The wall of fire, upon impacting the earthquake and the spears, caused them to turn into flames, which pierced the great mountain of earth still coming at great speed with more force.

Both were hit and dragged.

Fortunately for them, the audience managed to evacuate just in time.

But not for them. Both sword saints were hit by the earthquake and the debris.

It was a frontal and rear attack.

A great explosion of earth occurred.

Goredolph and Christina flew through the air. They were seen covered in blood.

They fell in different areas, generating a loud crash.

Razel saw all of this.

He couldn't believe it.

Two of the empire's strongest were defeated.

Only then did the creature get moving.

It roared again, and this time, another event occurred.

In the distance, a group of creatures rapidly approached.

The direction was where Vanfield Forest was.

Razel thought as he saw that.

(So, the reason it was underground is because those things were its subordinates?)

(It seems crazy, but monsters have hierarchies too.)

(There's no other choice. We need to get out of here.)

Razel turned around to get on a ship and get out of there.

But, at that moment...

At the speed of a blink, a rock flew directly towards him.

Razel couldn't notice it in time.

But the rock hit him so hard that it knocked him off his steed.

He had to grab onto tree branches to avoid falling too hard to the ground.

Once he fell, he touched his head, and a little blood dripped.

As he got up, he felt a presence.

Before turning around, something pierced his forearm.

He quickly retreated and hid near a tree.

He checked his arm; the wound wasn't fatal, but blood, and a lot, was coming out.

Razel didn't understand what was happening until, on one of the tree branches, he observed the culprit.

It was...

"You! What the hell are you doing?"

Lambert.

He was making a perverse expression; his beautiful family sword was unsheathed.

Razel's blood dripped from the tip.

"Answer me! What the hell are you doing?!"

"Don't you see the situation we're in?!"

Razel shouted. But Lambert didn't change his expression.

He descended to the ground, and before fully standing up.

"Rooooaaahh!"

The enormous creature roared as it began to walk once more.

Its steps made the earth tremble.

The flying monsters arrived; they were near him.

Lambert noticed them, but didn't give it importance. Instead, he said to Razel.

"You... a simple and repulsive landless baron dared to hurt His Highness, to hurt Lux."

His bloodlust covered the environment with a very cold discomfort.

"Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable! Unforgivable!"

He showed his teeth in rage.

"I will not forgive you for daring to challenge His Highness, much less for hurting him! For Lux, my friend! I will kill you here and now!"

For the first time in his life, Razel observed expressions from this boy.

He was a little astonished, but then his simple face contorted just like Lambert's.

"That's fine with me, but you know what?"

His ugly face distorted with rage like his opponent.

"I have two things to say to you. First; that stupid prince will never be anything more than a burden. And the second is for you."

The expression on his face showed a crescent moon in his smile.

"Drop that stupid complex about your father and the prince. I always found it disgusting how you have no personality of your own. Lambert, your way of thinking and acting always disgusted me, so, just for you. I purposely lost so they would kill you."

"I have no idea what you're talking about!"

"No one cares!"

Razel's right hand moved to one side.

"I didn't want to use it on you guys, but right now, I'll do something I never thought I would."

Magical power gathered in it.

"You are one of the 12 candidates to become the next sword saint and one of the Three Swords, those who are the best of the 12."

Sparks struck the air.

"Right now, I'll show you my trump card."

A long sword began to manifest; the edge was still covered with magical power.

"Let's see if your fame is really anything more than lies!"

Both of their auras emanated a strong red color.

"I'm going to kick your ass really hard, you stupid girly-face!"

"I'm going to kill you, weird-face guy!"

The final battle that never happened was about to begin.
