Xue'er was tall, nearly a head taller than Su Ye.
She chuckled, seeming to agree with what Su Ye said.
Then, she fiddled with her small leather pouch.
"What rank of Doctor are you?"
Su Ye reached out and touched a nearby stone, speaking as she did.
"I haven't taken the assessment yet."
Xue'er paused at her words and gave a solemn nod.
She then fell silent.
Su Ye waited a moment, but when Xue'er didn't say anything more, she turned to look. Xue'er had her head lowered, fiddling with the small leather pouch fastened at her waist.
She pulled a slender, multicolored snake from inside, its tongue flicking out with a SSSSSS.
Su Ye froze.
As Xue'er toyed with the slender snake, she spoke.
"There's something you should know. No matter where you run, to the very ends of the earth, as long as you are on the Wangu Continent, I can find you."
Xue'er smiled, but the smile didn't reach her eyes.
