The battlefield had changed.
What was once scorched earth and broken stone was now something far worse a living wound carved by rage, grief, and power beyond reason. The sky above churned violently, clouds spiraling as if pulled toward the epicenter of Sanny's fury. Crimson light bled into the air, painting everything in shades of blood and fire.
Alex lay in Malia's arms, her chest rising barely. Each breath was shallow, fragile, as though the world itself was waiting to see if she would take another. Her fingers twitched weakly, stained red, clutching at Malia's sleeve.
"She's still breathing…" Malia sobbed. "Please… just hold on, Alex… please…"
Axel, forcing himself upright with trembling legs, planted his hand into the cracked ground to stay standing. Blood ran down his chin, but his eyes never left his siblings. "Finish it," he whispered. "End this nightmare."
At the center of it all stood Sanny.
His Crimson Red Rage Mode burned like a dying star violent, unstable, absolute. His hair lifted as if caught in an unseen storm, his eyes glowing with pure crimson light, tears evaporating before they could fall. Every pulse of his aura fractured the ground beneath him.
Across from him, Kagetsu staggered.
For the first time since the battle began, fear crept into the dark warlord's expression. His aura still raged, black and oppressive, but it was being pushed back, crushed beneath Sanny's overwhelming presence.
"This power…" Kagetsu snarled. "This rage this shouldn't exist!"
Sanny took a step forward.
The ground exploded beneath his foot.
"You took my family's peace," Sanny said, his voice low, trembling with restrained fury. "You fed on our fear. You broke us… again and again."
Another step. Another shockwave.
"And now," he continued, eyes burning, "you die for it."
Kagetsu roared and surged forward, unleashing everything dark spears, crushing gravity, blades of shadow tearing through the air. The battlefield screamed as his power detonated outward.
Sanny didn't dodge.
He walked through it.
Shadow tore at his flesh, blood spilling, but his rage burned hotter than pain. Each strike dissolved against his aura, vaporized by the Crimson Red inferno surrounding him.
Kagetsu's eyes widened. "Impossible!!"
Sanny vanished.
In an instant, he reappeared inches from Kagetsu's face and drove his fist into Kagetsu's ribs. The impact bent space itself, launching Kagetsu across the battlefield like a broken weapon. He slammed into a shattered cliff, coughing violently, blood spraying from his mouth.
Before Kagetsu could recover, Sanny was already there again knee to the stomach, elbow to the spine, a brutal barrage fueled by grief rather than technique.
Each blow carried memories.
Fear.
Pain.
Loss.
"You don't get to stand," Sanny roared, slamming Kagetsu into the ground, "after what you've done!"
Meanwhile,
Luna screamed.
Blue and crimson light collided in the sky as Zane and Luna tore through the battlefield at blinding speed. Zane's Crimson Blue Rage Mode surged violently, his eyes glowing deep blue, tears streaming freely down his face as electricity wrapped around his limbs like living chains.
"You think killing her makes you strong?!" Zane shouted, blocking Luna's blade with his forearm, sparks exploding outward. "You think you can take everything from us and walk away?!"
Luna snarled, slashing wildly. "She was weak! Just like you all!"
Zane's eyes darkened.
"Say her name."
Luna laughed cruelly. "Alex."
The air shattered.
Zane vanished and reappeared behind her, his fist already moving. It slammed into her back with devastating force, sending her spiraling downward into the earth. The ground ruptured as she crashed, coughing, struggling to rise.
Zane descended slowly, lightning crackling around him, tears still falling.
"She believed in us," he said, voice breaking but firm. "She loved him. She held us together when everything was falling apart."
Luna lunged again, desperation in her eyes.
Zane met her head-on.
Their powers collided in a blinding explosion, but this time Luna was losing ground. Zane's movements were precise, relentless, every strike carrying resolve sharpened by grief.
"For Sanny," Zane whispered.
"For Alex."
With a final roar, Zane gathered all his power into a single point, his aura compressing violently. He drove his fist straight through Luna's defenses, the impact tearing through her chest in a burst of blue light.
Luna froze.
Her eyes widened.
"No…wait…"
The energy detonated.
When the light faded, Luna's body collapsed lifelessly into the shattered earth, her dark aura dispersing like smoke in the wind.
Zane fell to one knee, breathing heavily, fists trembling.
"It's done," he whispered, tears finally falling freely.
Back at the center.
Kagetsu rose unsteadily, bloodied, furious, broken. "You think rage makes you righteous?" he spat. "You're no better than me!"
Sanny stood before him, aura roaring higher than ever.
"No," Sanny said quietly.
"I'm worse."
Crimson energy condensed around Sanny's arm, forming a burning spear of pure rage his heartbeat thundered, each pulse echoing through the battlefield.
"This ends now," Sanny said.
Kagetsu charged, screaming, darkness coiling around him in one final desperate attack.
Sanny stepped forward.
Their powers collided for a fraction of a second and then Sanny pierced Kagetsu's heart.
The Crimson Red energy burned through Kagetsu's chest, erupting out his back in a violent explosion of light. Kagetsu froze, eyes wide, disbelief frozen on his face.
The darkness around him shattered.
His body began to crack, light spilling through the fractures.
"This… power…" Kagetsu whispered weakly.
Sanny leaned closer, voice trembling with pain and fury.
"This is for my family's fear."
"For our pain."
"For everything you took."
With a final surge, the Crimson Red energy exploded outward.
Kagetsu disintegrated into ash and fading shadows, erased completely.
Silence fell.
The sky slowly cleared.
The battlefield stopped shaking.
Sanny collapsed to his knees, Crimson Red fading as exhaustion hit him like a tidal wave. Zane rushed to his side, catching him before he fell completely.
"It's over," Zane said softly. "We did it."
Sanny's eyes snapped toward Alex.
Malia was shaking, tears streaming. "She's still breathing… barely…"
Sanny crawled to her side, hands trembling as he gently held Alex's face. Her eyes fluttered weakly, lips parting just slightly.
"S… Sanny…" she whispered.
Relief and pain crashed into him all at once. "I'm here. I'm here. You're not alone."
Axel stumbled closer, collapsing beside them, tears streaking through the blood on his face.
"You won," he said softly. "You both did."
Alex's fingers weakly curled around Sanny's hand.
"Don't… go Crimson again," she murmured faintly.
Sanny laughed through tears. "Only for you… I'll come back."
The battlefield, once soaked in fear, now held only silence and hope.
But the cost was written in blood.
And nothing would ever be the same again.
END OF FINAL BATTLE
Until On Sanny Tenom.
