The researcher facility has a border made of electric currents and barbed wires and span across several kilometers. With turrets lined up to keep outsiders out. But a subtle lack of defenses for the inside. Android guard who patrol the field 24/7. And a maintainance staff who perform routine maintainance.
AND the same thing was on fire as the Doppelgänger destroyed everything. By using sly tactics. And disguising themselves a s a researcher at first. And trying to leave the facility. However both entering and exiting requires identification. when Jay and Phoenix had entered they had restricted the entry. So the Doppelgänger became desperate as freedom was just before his own eyes. The thought of freedom drove him to make it past no matter what.
AND it drove him to take extreme action despite his intelligence. And in doing so he was spotted by the guards.
And then he became the suicide man and drove everyone to death before returning to another persona.
In the watch station after showing his face as the suicide man. The guard tried to end his life by proceeding to blow the same rpg on himself and blowing up the station in the process.
Once again outside Jay arrived to apprehend the Doppelgänger but he was sly he immediately turned into Suicide man from whom Jay had to turn his face away from.
To avoid seeing his face. Jay summoned an iron golem but because there was no visual input all the golem could do was to strike in random directions. And all of the attacks missed.
Jay erected a wall behind him covering him. Like Jay his opponent had prep time he recovered a few stun grenades which were used at Jay. Where a blast of electric current ran though his body. Allowing the Doppelgänger to cover the distance around the walls. Jay closed his eyes and tried to talk once again.
Jay :
Are you sure you don't want to negotiate I can get you some favorable terms.
With each word the Doppelgänger closed the distance. And his sound of footsteps was overridden. Jay took to the skies.
Even with his eyes closed he issued a warning tthe Doppelgänger.
Jay :
I am giving you five seoncds to reconsider. 5,4,3,2,
Doppelgänger :
I am willing to negotiate.
Even with Jay's overwhelming power why would he negotiate with the Doppelgänger. Because Jay saw him yearning for freedom in his eyes and the lengths he is about to go to and take revenge no matter the cost.
Jay felt similar to his own situation.
Jay :
Firstly turn off your suicide man persona.
AND the Doppelgänger complied and Ai confirmed that it had dropped its persona. So Jay dropped down to the ground. At a six foot distance before the Doppelgänger.
Jay :
Once you cross the border I will have no choice but to kill you (lie).
"Then, I choose death" saying this he ran towards the exposed part of the gate. Jay erected a wall trying to stop him and the Doppelgänger slipped past it. But Jay erected more walls and trapped him in a circle and the way out was to either dig or climb. But the surface was smooth so climbing would make sense.
AND with that the Doppelgänger was restricted alive and well before he could do any damage.
But the Doppelgänger wouldn't let this be his reality so he

If I cannot get out of here alive then I will escape this place by dying.
It took the same knife and tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself. But Jay broke down his own walls and snatched the knife from his hands.
Doppelgänger :
You are nothing bit a fool.
The Doppelgänger touched Jay's hand and in an instant he turned into an exact replica of Jay. He received all of his memories albeit some were restricted to protect him from mental and existential damage.
He had become exactly like Jay black hair, dark brown eyes, wearing synthetic clothes, the same skin tone the same nail length it had even replicated the ring of somnia and other accessories and even the smart phone.
AND when he received his memories he got to know how to use the phone. And how to balance stats and even the entire inventory of Jay.
Except every mention of X was scrapped off. And the real world was held behind the bars.

The two Jay's were in distinguishable. And even the ai had two same signatures which showed up on Phoenix's comma.

Three massive spheres of fire looking like the images of sun from outer space appeared.
AND launched towards Jay. They crashed into the ground before Jay and exploded in a 5 meter area.
But Jay was fine and unscathed. Jay touched the ground with his hands and a few feet from him metallic skeletons appeared and rushed towards the Doppelgänger and just as they were about to burst he erected a wall to protect itself from the shrapnels.
After the shrapnels had fallen to the ground Jay threw a mana sting attached fire elemental stone behind the walls and when it had crossed the walls Jay exploded the stone resulting in a massive explosion.
The explosion tore down the walls but the Doppelgänger came out unscathed.
Doppelgänger :
You don't know what this body is capable of. These paltry won't work on yourself. Then how is it supposed to work on me.
The Doppelgänger summoned a rain of sprears falling from the sky and to its response Jay hid in a dome an open dome with the sides opened from one end and from that end a water elemental stone dropped inside but Jay was expecting this tactic and before it could explode and flood the structure Jay hit it with the remaining metal and it exploded outside and the area became flooded but due to the open area the water immediately dissipated and returned to normal levels.
But during that time Jay was able to think about how would he deal with himself. He should know himself the best afterall. He has his memories which includes all of the info about the skills and how the skill trees work.
But Jay had an idea maybe something could work. He exited his own bunker as it disppiated into nothing.
Jay :
I'm sure you have my exact stats but you don't have the same movesets don't you.
Jay removed his phone and stared browsing the skill tree.
To make his enemy spend Stat points. But the Doppelgänger was quick to adapt and rushed Jay with the Prototype 1 and tried to slice his neck off but this attack was dodged by Jay.
Jay tried to remove something from his inventory. His hand was reaching for the same sword but another attack cane for him immediately so instead of that sword he grabbed the trick sword . The Scrapped sword.
In its full stage it looked like a regular pristine glass like sword. Whose secret the Doppelgänger knew.
Doppelganger :
That trick sword is enough to even oenetrate your skin.
Alongside the prototype 1 Mana buzz saws and circular saws spawned alongside him. Rotating in high speed in the air. At one side the doppelganger would swing the sword on the other side he would launch a saw at high speed or swing the buzz saw. Which were broken through by Jay this made dodging the sword attacks even difficult. Since if he erected a wall he might be trapped from one direction.
So he created a shield to counter the buzz saws. And deflected the saws. But he was caught in a situation where he would have to deflect. And he deflected it using the Scrapped blade which broke it in the process. And using the hilt the broken sword shards plunged into its skin. And dug deep into them. The more mana Jay out into it the more they dug in.
But his wound was deep and still he didn't lose his form.
Jay :
Why aren't you returning back to normal.
Doppelgänger :
OH that thing, you know I lied. I can keep this form for how much time I like. And I like this one very much.
