Chapter 3 - 3.Exploring the forest (FIXED)

Still perched on the branch, I spent some time analyzing my interface.

"Rarity? That wolf... it said Mightyena was its species, and its rarity was 'Uncommon.' But mine says 'Legendary/Mythic.' Does that mean I'm one of a kind?"

A chill ran through me. If humans saw me, they wouldn't just want to be my friend. They'd want to capture me, study me, maybe even experiment on me. "Yeah, definitely avoiding humans," I muttered. "I don't even want to deal with them anyway."

I looked up, surprised to see the sky turning a deep orange. It felt like I'd only been here for ten minutes, but the sun was already dipping below the horizon. I scanned the area for any glowing eyes or lurking shadows. Once I was sure no predators were climbing my tree, I curled up on the branch and let sleep take over.

The next morning, I woke up with a start. For a split second, I expected to see my messy bedroom and my alarm clock. Then, the weight of my wings reminded me: Oh right. I died.

Since I had nowhere to be, I decided to explore. I spread my wings—it felt much more natural today—and soared above the canopy. My jaw dropped. The forest stretched on for kilometers in every direction, a sea of endless green. After several minutes of flying, a familiar shimmer caught my eye. The lake.

"Finally," I whispered. "Time to see who I really am."

I didn't land right away. Despite my high stats, I was still only Level 1, so I hovered over the water for a few minutes to make sure no predators were waiting in the reeds. When the coast seemed clear, I descended to the shore.

I hesitated at the water's edge, then finally peeked over. A small, green creature stared back at me.

"So... this is me?" I touched the two antennae on my head and stared into my own massive, dark eyes. "I look... kind of cute? I definitely expected worse."

Suddenly, the water began to churn. Huge bubbles erupted across the surface, and a massive blue serpent exploded from the depths, towering over me. Its scales shimmered like sapphires, and its face was twisted into a permanent snarl.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!"

The beast glared at me with blood-red eyes. I could feel a heavy, suffocating pressure—killing intent—radiating from it. In my old life, I would have fainted from fear. But here? Looking at my own hidden power?

I gritted my teeth and felt the energy of the forest swirling around my tiny hands. "Fine then," I growled, a smirk forming on my small face. "Let's see what a Mythic can really do. BRING IT ON!"
