(Third Person POV – Group Focus)
The winter sun dipped low, casting a pale gold sheen across the sprawling Lee Estate — a place big enough to fit a hotel resort inside if Jeff ever felt compelled to do so. Today, however, it hosted something entirely different:
A meeting of the Exclusive 8… minus two.
Michelle Lui and Steven Sy were not invited.
Not for cruelty.
But because this wasn't a gathering for celebration.
It was a gathering for intervention.
The kind that only longtime friends could attempt — and perhaps fail — spectacularly.
Kate Tan stood in the grand foyer, arms crossed, expression cool, polished, and deceptively calm. But her foot tapped the marble floor with increasing impatience.
"They're late," she muttered.
Jeff, lounging on a couch, tossed a grape into his mouth. "Relax. Vince is dragging Lara out of her cave again. She probably bit him."
Kate glared. "Does she look like a werewolf to you?"
"Sometimes," Jeff said simply.
