Morning – Physics
By now, walking into Physics class beside Steven wasn't news.
People didn't whisper anymore. They didn't stare. They didn't gasp. They didn't react at all, actually.
Because after the winter trip, the soft handholding, the way Steven always found me after class, the way we naturally drifted to each other in hallways — we were part of the daily scenery.
Normal.
Expected.
Public… but quiet.
Even Lara didn't look tense anymore when she greeted me with a small smile. Jasmine scribbled in her notebook while humming. Anthony yawned like finals were tomorrow instead of two months away.
Everything was… steady.
No fireworks.
No drama.
Just calm.
Yet somehow, between Steven's calm glances and the faint brush of his hand when passing me a pen, my heart still fluttered like it didn't get the memo.
The Lunar New Year Gala floated in the back of my mind — a silky, shimmering thought I wasn't ready to unpack yet.
