Chapter 37 - Omega

Underground, in Manhattan

A door opens and a line of people with a red cloak come out.

They immediately bow once the approach Magus, as he stands there in a black suit with a long red cape on the left shoulder of it.

"We are honored to be in your presence, Dark Lord," they say simultaneously. Magus smirked, "As you should. Go ahead with the others," Magus orders and they listen, going deeper into Tash's lair.

The door swinged closed and Tash fell in front of the door breathing heavily and sweating.

"I- I can't do it again," He breathes heavily, looking up at Magus.

Magus chuckles. "Don't worry, over 80 of my acolytes are enough," He then turns around, beginning to walk away. "Fix yourself up, will you?" He chuckles and Tash scrunches his face in irritation.

Magus walks pass a large crowd of people in red cloaks. He reaches the front of the crowd, and turns around, beginning to float.

"My acolytes," he began loudly, "Your Dark Lord has finally risen from the astral plane to the material. I am now here to make all of our dreams come true!" He announced.

"Hail Magus," A woman in the front of the crowd began and others followed.

"Hail Magus,"

"Hail Magus,"

"Hail Magus,"

Boom

A door bursts open and two guards came into an office, carrying Aarion. They sat him down in chair and immediately left the room, closing the door shut behind them.

Aarion breathes heavily and looks up. Across the desk, he sees a Caucasian woman with blonde hair in a suit.

"Vannesa Wall?" Aarion begins. "Why the hell am I here?" He asks furiously. Vanessa flexes her shoulders, sitting up in her seat. She pulls a file up off her desk and opens it.

"Aarion Williams, date of birth 02/02/2003, born in Clairwood, Georgia. Adopted by a nurse, who died mysteriously 8 years ago. Supernatural status: Witch. Rank: Omega,"

"Omega?" Aarion asks, interrupting her. She puts down the file, closing in it.

"Yes, the ranking of witches is Weak, Advanced, and Omega. Being an omega means you're a very powerful witch. Too powerful," she explains. Aarion chuckles, "If you know of my power, why do you insist on becoming my enemy?" He asks scornfully.

"I'm not your enemy. I apologize for how we brought you here, but my superiors believed that you wouldn't come if I asked," she apologizes and explains. Aarion scrunches his face in confusion, "Superiors? Earlier you spoke about the U.S AMP. What is that?" He asks.

"It's an organization formed over 50 years ago by the government. Our job is to take record of supernaturals and study magical phenomenon, like the supernatural migration of New York to Clairwood that occurred seven years ago. Care to explain that?" She queried.

Aarion didn't respond he simply looked at her.

"If you explain, you can leave," she says, convincing him. He chuckles. "Could've led with that," he says.

He inhales, beginning to explain,

"Seven years ago, I met a woman named Leah, together we brought a child into this world. A daughter. But Eden's mother was taken from her by my ancestor, Magus. He is as powerful as me and is intent on taking my daughter's magic, killing her and making her magic his own to make supernaturals known. He wants to kill humans who are against us and harm us, leaving the rest to be subjects or whatever the hell he has planned for his new world..."

"I made all supernaturals flee Manhattan in order to keep them safe, and on my side. When they left I casted a spell on me and Magus, and for seven years, I've been stuck in his mind. Now I have to continue being away from my family to keep Magus trapped in my house," He concludes.

Vanessa blinks, trying to find words to say. "I'm sorry... It sounds like you've been through a lot. And I'm sure that's not all of it. But... we only found three people at your house. You included," she says. Aarion's eyes widen in fear and shock.

"No... When I went home to Clairwood it must've been too far. He broke free," he whispers to himself. "I have to leave, now." He refocuses and demands.

Vanessa nods. "No. If he's as dangerous as you say, we can retrieve him," she confirms. Aarion tilts his head and his eye twitches. He lifts his arms up, still in the magic seal cuffs.

"Yaah!"

He yells as he widen his arms, breaking through the cuffs. Vannesa eyes widen in fear and she scoots her rolling chair back as Aarion stands. The room begins to shake and the wind blows and howls loudly in the room.

A dozen guards then burst in the room and come in with guns and weapons. Aarion quickly turns around, senses sharp and he waves his hand. Every guard then fell asleep quickly.

The wind stops blowing and Aarion turns back around to Vanessa.

"If you can't handle me, and I'm not even using half of my power. You'll stand no chance against Magus," He chided. Vanessa scoots back up to the desk. "And what will you do? Keep him locked in your house forever while you're hundreds of miles away from your family? Doesn't sound like a life you'd want," she says.

"It's not!" He yells angrily. "But if I have to do that for some years until I get what I need to kill him, then so be it," he surmised. Vanessa nods slowly and defeated.

She pulls open a drawer and takes out a flip phone.

"Here, call me when you plan to kill Magus. If you need extra help, I'll do all that I can to help you," She assures. Aarion's expression calms, and he steps up to grab the phone. "The people I came with, they're in the room to the left, right?" He asks and Vanessa nods 'yes'.

"Figured," He says smugly before turning around.

"Thank you, for understanding. And remember, I'm a powerful witch, but don't call this burner if you need something as small as a potion. I don't do those," he chuckles and the door magically whooshes open.

He walks out into a wide corridor and he walks to the door on the left and it magically opens. There Xavin and Marcus sat in chairs at a large table. As soon as they saw him they both got up and ran out of the room.

"Aarion!" Marcus exclaims happily. "I'm sleepy," he whispers. "Me too," Aarion says. He waves his hand and the seal chains placed on Marcus falls off. "Wanna go back home to your new bed?" Aarion asks with a smile and Marcus nods happily. Aarion then looks up at Xavin. "Both of you give me a hand to hold.

Marcus reach up and take a hold of his right hand. Aarion turns to Xavin and holds his hand out. Xavin hesitates, but holds it.

A black magic portal then appears and the three of them step through.

"Aarion!" Marcus yells out. "I can't see," he complained.

It's complete darkness in all directions. They're in the dark pocket dimension.

"Sorry," Aarion apologizes my way of teleporting is different," he says. A bright white portal then appears in front of them. "There, let's go," he says, beginning to walk, still holding hands with them both. They walk through the portal and appear in the foyer of the house in New York.

"Come on, Marcus. I'll take you to your room," Aarion says and Marcus nods as he follows him up the stairs, still holding onto Aarion's hand.

They walk into a bedroom and Marcus let go of Aarion's hand soon as they enter, rushing to the bed.

Aarion smiles proudly. "Goodnight, Marcus," he says before turning around to close the door.

"Wait!" Marcus blurts out. "Will you teach me magic tomorrow?" He asks, nearly asleep.

"First we gotta get you enrolled into school, but yeah. Maybe the basics," Aarion says kindly before exiting the room and closing the door.

He walks down the hall and opens a bedroom door. It's empty, with nothing but a bed.

He walks to the center of the room and clenches his fist, revealing his forearms. His skin then rips open and his blood floats out. It abruptly scatters and form a wide circle around him. His skin then begins to heal and stich itself back together as he walks out of the circle.

He inhales and stands tall before closing his eyes. He begins to whisper.

In Tash's lair.

"The entire world!" Magus voice echoes. "It will know my name, know of our existence and bow down to our commands. We will get all that we need, all we want, all we deserve!" He yells.

He then stops.

He looks down and feels his feet sliding backward.

"Cockfuck..." he whispers angrily.

"My acolytes," He yells and a grey portal appears far behind Magus.

"You know how to reach me. Prepare for our time for it is nigh!" He yells as he gets yanked away into the portal.

He falls down onto a floor, groaning and twisting in pain.

"Hey there,"

Magus looks up and sees Aarion. He stands, growling, he angrily walks over to Aarion but is stopped, and pushed back.

"What happened to the house barrier?" Magus asks angrily. Aarion smiles conivingly. "Disobey the rules, and you get in isolation," he chuckles.

Magus scoffs, "Well fine! As long as I'm here..." he chuckles mischievously, "life is a prison for us both,"
