He walked toward the more open part of the hall where the younger guests were playing.
Nearby, Rosaline and Morgan were laughing among the other children, darting around as small drones floated overhead, releasing streams of shimmering bubbles that drifted through the air.
In their excitement, the two children ran forward without looking—and bumped straight into the Omega.
The magazine tucked under his arm slipped from his grasp and fell to the floor.
"Oops. Careful," the Omega reminded gently as he bent down to retrieve it.
But Morgan was faster. The boy picked up the magazine first and quickly held it out to him.
"Sorry, Sir! We didn't see you!" he said, slightly breathless from running.
The Omega accepted the magazine from his hands. A faint smile appeared on his face—warm, though strangely distant.
"Thank you, Young Master," he said softly. "You are very kind."
"No problem!"
Morgan was already turning away when he heard Rosaline's anxious voice behind him.
