However, Semaya didn't realize that Ryley had been quietly observing her from a distance.
The blond narrowed his eyes slightly, watching her expression for a moment. But before he could think further, the doctor's voice interrupted him.
"I've prescribed the medicine. The flu should clear up shortly," the doctor said with a respectful bow. "With your permission."
Ryley nodded. "Thank you, Doc."
Once the doctor left the room, Ryley leaned closer to Jade and spoke in a low voice.
"Wait outside."
Jade nodded and quietly stepped out of the room. Only then did Ryley turn back and approach Semaya's bedside.
"Is there anything else you need?" he asked.
"N-no, Sir. Thank you for your help," Semaya replied quickly.
But Ryley didn't seem satisfied. "Are you sure?" he pressed calmly. "Nothing you want to tell me?"
Semaya swallowed. For a brief moment, hesitation flickered across her face.
