Rudel was in his room.
It was already night; his parents had told him he was going to get engaged to an unknown girl.
Ixion had come to his room to put away his clothes because his mother was busy.
Rudel watched him store the clothes through a mysterious method.
The clothes floated; it was unclear if it was artificial magic or science, but Rudel didn't care.
Rather, he asked this:
"What will you do from now on?"
Ixion turned to look at him upon hearing that.
"What are you talking about?"
"You talked about the contract between us being because I found the ship, right?"
"Brynhild sank, so I guess there's no contract anymore."
"...Are you an idiot?"
"..."
Ixion floated over to Rudel's bed and dropped his spherical body onto the human.
"Damn it! What are you doing?"
"That's what I should be asking. What are you talking about? My contract is with you, not Brynhild and you."
"Huh? But you said—"
"You don't remember anything. Besides, if I really left, humanity would be destroyed."
Rudel sighed.
"You still want to destroy humanity? They'll do it themselves, so leave them be."
"It would take too long; no thanks."
Rudel threw a pillow at Ixion.
"If you destroy humanity, then I'll die too."
"Hmm, that's an interesting point. But don't worry, I will keep you, your family, and them safe in a secure place if you wish."
"Why bring them into this?"
Ixion stared fixedly at Rudel.
"What do you feel for them?"
Rudel moved his arm from his face to look at him.
"Why do you care?"
"Curiosity, perhaps?"
"If you're talking about that, I want to know about the bastard who fled the kingdom and destroyed the girls' dolls."
"I handled it, along with the students who humiliated them. The guy's name is Siege, and he's hiding in Aster. Many have fled there before the war, including those people."
"Good. After we arrive, we'll look for them and send them to the kingdom."
"Understood. Now, answer what I asked."
"...I."
Rudel looked at Ixion as he told him about his true feelings.
"I love them. I truly love Alisa and Airi. I want to be with them, but... I don't think I'm worthy of having such wonderful girls by my side."
Rudel covered his face with a pillow to scream.
Ixion, upon seeing him, murmured quietly.
"...Your traumas do seem quite strong. Only they will be able to heal your stupidity."
After removing the pillow, Rudel asked Ixion if he had said something.
He denied it and went to iron his pants.
Just before taking out his shirt, Ixion told him:
"Master."
"Yeah?"
"Tomorrow will undoubtedly be a great day."
"Shut up."
And so, the plan to make Rudel and them happy was proceeding perfectly after verifying his feelings one more time.
