His words were woven together on her heart like a stem from a rose. Caroline could feel the blood dripping from inside her heart of dispare. She held the small tiny little boy that grew from her body as she laid in the hospital bed yet now her husband of three years wanted nothing to do with the child he wanted.
"Sign the divorcee Caroline" her husband's voice was cold despite her only giving birth three hours prior.
"I don't sign anything without lawyers" Caroline stated remembering the same words her mom had once told her own birth father. It seemed history was repeating itself, Caroline thought to herself however she was grateful that she had her husband sign the papers she didn't think would come in handy until now.
"Fine" He said as he placed the papers in front of his wife and walked out the hospital room with a thug following behind it.
The room was filled with light softening snores from the small baby that Caroline had but her heart was crying. She couldn't do that her and didn't want to give her soon to be ex-husband the satisfaction. Her phone however was on the table beside her and Caroline didn't want to wakeup her new born child.
"Caleb" Caroline cooed a her baby "I love you so much my dear even you just being a couple of hours old, I'll protect you my sweet baby"
