Third person POV
"It's okay, Souya-chan…" Masayuki spoke to Souya warmly. "…they're had left off now…"
"I hate them…I hate them…" Souya sobbed still.
Masayuki tightened his hug for his childhood friend who had been living a new life with a new identity all these years.
Nearby, Kyo, Yuki, and Hatsuharu, as well as Emiko and Handa, were in awe to see Souya's defiance against her biological parents and her mental and emotional breakdown after that. They respected her resistance, as if her new life with the Aikawas was much better than the one within the Sohma estate walls.
After that, Tohru and Rin returned, only to see weeping on Souya. "Hana-chan…" Rin muttered. Souya then looked at her with teary eyes. "Rin-chan…don't worry…I got rid of them…"
Rin was astonished; her own sister whom her parents adored had decided to cut ties with them for her sake.
"Why does Rin-chan's parents are in tears as they left the house?" Tohru raised a question.
"Souya-chan hated her parents and tells them to get out of her life," Yuki replied solemnly and briefly.
Tohru was stunned, and Masayuki said to his cousin, "Tohru-chan, Souya was better off with the Aikawas now, as Souya Aikawa."
By that time, Souya stopped her crying and began reconnecting with Rin, who wasn't cold, but soft towards her now.
The promise that happened years ago had been fulfilled at last.
