"Anything on your mind, Kazu-chan?" Ama asked as she took some of my blood personally. Apparently, the machine used to take all the samples and run tests was under maintenance, and Ama had to do them all by hand.
"What makes you think that?" I asked, finally looking in her direction.
"I made four comments about your body now, and you didn't react to a single one," she said with a fake pout on her face. "I feel so ignored."
"Sorry, I was nodding off for a bit," I replied. "Just had a lot on my mind."
"Your body is undergoing a lot of changes, so it's understandable. What is on your mind?"
"Why do you do this?" I asked right away, which took her a second to process. "I mean, you are working so hard day and night monitoring me, and I'm sure having to take care of other people here who get injured. It must be tiring, isn't it?"
