Chapter 30 – Spread the News

"No! Those potions are ours! We're hunting bosses today—we need them!"

"Wait—what's this? Beginner's Potion (Extended Duration)? Seriously?! Not only did someone craft the standard one—they made a version that lasts twice as long?!"

"Has anyone posted about this online? Who is this guy?! Find him! Our guild's doors are wide open for him! Someone this skilled shouldn't be in some no-name clan—especially not when we exist!"

"Oh please! 'No-name clan'? How about you step aside—We are Skyward Legion! That potion master belongs with us. I'm buying every last vial right now."

"Like hell you are! I'll buy them first! 1 Copper for 1,000 credits—bring your Copper, I'll trade instantly! No one else is offering this price!"

"Alert the servers! We must find this player. Right now, these potions are worth more than gold—and he's not just listing one or two. Every time he appears, he drops 15, 20 potions at once! The top guilds are scrambling to pool funds just to secure a few. This man must join our guild—so he brews exclusively for us."

Beng Zeng stood frozen as guild recruiters, rival players, and desperate hunters swarmed the market square—all chasing the same ghost.

He quickly checked the vendor interface.

Every single potion—all 30—was sold out.

Heart pounding, he withdrew the earnings:

53 Silver 75 Copper.

We're halfway to 1 Gold.

He rushed back to the inn, mind racing. What's Mu Lan going to do next?

As he pushed open the door to their room, Mu Lan was already mid-brew, hands steady over a bubbling vial.

"Mu! I pulled all the Silver. Should I buy more herbs so you can keep crafting? Or do we cash out first and hit 1 Gold?"

"Remember Wayne's stock?" Mu Lan didn't look up. "You just cleared it an hour ago. Are we really going to waste 5 Copper on vials when we know his stock won't refresh until tomorrow? Let's log out after this batch. We'll eat, train, and I'll talk to you about something important."

"Alright," Beng said, sitting down. "We've already grabbed half the Silver on the server—might as well lock it in."

While Mu Lan brewed his final 16 potions, Beng opened the in-game news feed.

And his jaw dropped.

Every headline was about one thing:

[Who Is This Potion Master?]

[Potions Selling Out in Seconds!]

[Beginner Potion Now 50 Copper—But There's a New Version!]

[G*******—Join Our Guild!]

[We'll Buy Every Potion You Make!]

"OHAAAAA!" Beng shouted.

Mu Lan flinched, nearly spilling his potion. "Beng! What the hell? Keep it down!"

"Do you have any idea what's happening?!" Beng turned his screen toward him. "Every news post is about YOU! Should I keep reading?!"

Mu Lan smirked. "Honestly? I expected some attention… but not this much. Don't worry—they don't know who we are. And even if they did… what could they do?"

He gestured to one headline. "Read that one—'Join Our Guild.' Which guild is it?"

"Alright…"
