Chapter 33 - The Kamaira - Beast: (part 2)

She rose from the water that was right behind him, silent, deadly. Her twin tails coiled, barbs gleaming. She aimed for his spine, ready to pierce, ready to drag him down—

Beast felt her before he saw her.

A ripple in the air. A shift in the sands.

A predator's primal instinct that he had that made it impossible for any to sneak up and get ahold of him.

He turned just as Sinyster exploded from the water—two massive serpent tails lashing upward, barbs gleaming like obsidian knives. Her hair writhed with snakes, her eyes dark purple, glowing with hunger.

She aimed for his spine. She wanted to drag him under. She wanted to drown him slow.

But Beast didn't flinch. And instead, He caught her.

His claws clamped around one of her serpent tails, muscles bulging, veins burning with demonic fire. Her barbs tore into his palm, ripping through flesh, but he held her fast, dragging her halfway out of the water.

A low laugh came from Beast as he said, "You should've just stayed in the water and not think that you'd be able to sneak up on me. Lest think you could in anyway out power me," He didn't hide his mockery in what he said to her as he tightened his hold on her and yanked her further out of the water.

She shrieked—a sound like a thousand drowned souls screaming through her throat. She had not expected him to be this strong. If anything, he should've been tired and weakened by fighting with so many of her dead Merpeople.

Her other tail whipped upward, faster than lightning. Beast didn't dodge in time.

The barb carved down his face, ripping through skin, tearing across his right eye. Blood sprayed hot and blinding. Pain detonated through him, making him growl and snarl. Shaking his head violently. That was the moment he received the scar that would never fade.

But he didn't let go.

He roared, wings snapping open behind him—massive, leathery, demon‑forged, bat like. The wind blasted outward, sending mud and broken corpses flying.

Sinyster's eyes widened. She had failed to even notice that it was his wings that cloaked around his massive body. She had underestimated him.

She had thought he was only a land‑bound brute, creature.

Beast yanked her fully out of the water, her serpentine tails thrashing wildly, barbs slicing into his arms and chest. Each strike left a new scar—thin, jagged, burning with her venom.

Sinyster was panicking now, and she should've known that anyone who was associated with her brother wouldn't be weak in any aspect. If that were the case Slayer wouldn't be bothered with having the Kamaira come with him or have anything to do with the creature.

She kept slicing at Beast with her barbed tails, hoping that she could get him to loosen his grip on her so she could dive back under the waters. But the moment her body was fully out of the water

Her power faltered.

Her scales dulled.

Her serpents hissed and withered.

Her twin tails convulsed, bones cracking, flesh twisting.

She screamed as her Merwitch form collapsed—tails splitting, shrinking, folding back into legs. Her snakes dissolved into limp strands of hair. Her skin lost its abyssal armor, paling into fragile humanlike flesh.

Beast wrapped one arm around her waist, pinning her against his blood‑soaked chest. His wings beat once—twice—and they surged upward into the sky, leaving the sandy shore and its corpses that littered them below.

She was powerless.

She returned to her original form but was extremely weakened and left with absolutely no strength left in her body.

And below them, Slayer cut down the last of the dead Merpeople, turning the ocean shore into a graveyard of broken corpses. He then glanced up at Beast as Beast flew straight up holding Sinyster against him and watching as she lost her Merwitch power and turned back into her original form.

Her stupidity of attacking Beast played out perfectly for them. 'Its definitely a good thing that Sinyster doesn't know how to control her Merwitch power and her Merwitch form doesn't have much common sense,' Slayer thought to himself as he stood there watching Beast fly higher in the air with Sinyster who was back to her original form. 'What was it though that brought the Merwitch out of her like this? She had never killed her own people before or ever let it be known that she could control the dead like that?' Slayers brows furrowed together and his eyes darkened.

Sinyster clawed at Beast weakly, her voice breaking. "Put me down—"

He tightened his grip, his ruined eye burning with fury.

"You should've stayed in the deep."

The wind howled around them as he carried her higher, her human form trembling in his grasp, her power bleeding away with every foot they rose.

"P-please, c-can we go b-back down now? I-i'm s-so cold," Sinyster pleaded to Beast. "I-i want t-to see my b-brother, p-please?" Her voice barely a whisper. Beast didn't care that she was cold and weak but he knew that Slayer would want to talk to Sinyster, so Beast answered Sinyster saying," You're lucky you're My Lord's sibling, otherwise, I would let go and let you fall to the ground."

Her eyes snapped open and she gasped at the Kamaira's words, tightening her hold on him as she didn't want to fall. She then felt them lose momentum and then suddenly they began to plummet towards the ground at massive speed.

"AAAAHHHH," Sinyster's scream filled the air and she had her eyes squeezed tightly shut. Her hold tightening on Beast's fur, knowing at any second they would hit the ground, when suddenly she felt Beast pull up abruptly to be upright before landing softly on the sandy ground.

Sinyster slowly opened her eyes relieved to be back on the ground again. She looked up and said,"Thank y-," she didn't get to finish her sentence because the next she knew she hit the ground on her back hard because Beast had let go of her. And not waiting even a second to say anything to her he stepped over her and proceeded to walk to where Slayer was standing surrounded by corpses and his aura was dark and deadly.

"How's your eye?" Slayer asked Beast in a serious tone.

"She luckily missed my eye and just struck my eyelid. If she had managed to strike me and had blinded me; she would've been in much worse shape than she is now because after I had flown up with her, I would've thrown her back to the ground," Beast answered Slayer, before stopping right in front of him.

"I'm surprised you didn't anyway, just because she's my sister doesn't save her from learning what happens when she crosses me. And If she would've blinded you, best believe that she would've lost both her eyes," Slayer said coldly. "And I would've given you the honors in taking them out."

Beast raised his hand to place it on his chest over his heart, bowing his head at Slayer to show him his respect for what he had just said to him before saying, "You're truly a Lord worth serving and I'm grateful for that." Beast didn't say things like that lightly, making his loyalty and respect for the young Lord known.

Slayer moved to stand next to Beast and looked at where Sinyster had barely been able to roll over onto her stomach. "Do we leave her here or is she coming back with us?" Beast asked.

"No, she stays here and deals with cleaning up her mess she made," Slayer answered. "But it seems like you get to meet my two older brothers, as we will be going and paying them a visit." Slayer informed Beast with a cold tone.

Beast snapping himself out of past memories and returning to the problem at hand, he heard Slayer ask him in a concerned, serious tone,

"You're sure that it was Sinyster's Merwitch aura that you sensed earlier in the forest, Beast?" Asked Slayer, his voice was evident of seriousness and shock. His expression was grim.

"There's no mistake. The aura I had sensed for that brief second was that of the Merwitch." Beast confirmed. Him and Slayer stood there staring at each other for a moment, not breaking eye contact.

They both knew how serious it was for Sinyster's Merwitch form to awaken and having to deal with her in that form.

If Sinyster was in fact working with Vishious, 'did he somehow figure out how to teach their little sister how to control her transformation? And how to call upon her powers at will? ' Slayer wondered Silently.

"It has been many years since you've last seen her. And it just very well may be that your little sister has fallen to be Lord Vishious' Little minion sort-of speak. There's a reason why he chose to summon her here and not to forget that they both, for some reason have been making it where her identity couldn't be detected by either of us. And why they have chosen to keep her presence unknown is quite suspicious to me. Lord Vishious is up to something. That we can be certain." Beast growled, raising his snout at the end to show his razor sharp teeth.

Slayer who was leaning against his desk, with his arms crossed in front of him. The look on his face was serious and his red eyes were almost glowing. His aura was dark and he had to figure out what Vishious was up to and what Sinyster's role was in coming here. He then pushed himself forward and walked towards Beast. He ordered Beast saying, "Go inform the other Generals and Commanders that there is to be a dinner tonight that they're needing to attend." Slayer said this as he kept walking past Beast to open his study door.

Beast bowed his head at Slayer before replying, "Yes, Sire." And followed as they left Slayers study.
