The Third Elder's speed was as swift as lightning, his robes fluttering like a mighty banner against the autumn winds. Even though he was carrying Han Yan Meng in his arms, he landed at the site in but a few breaths of time.

Yet the moment his feet touched the ground, his expression froze.

The place where Jun Xie had ruthlessly struck Xiao Feng Wu, where maple trees once stood like a fiery sea of red, was nothing more than a barren stretch of earth!

"Girl... are you certain this is the place?" The Third Elder's voice carried both disbelief and gravity. His sharp eyes swept the land, but all he saw was emptiness.

This land was too clean. There was not a single leaf, not a broken branch, not even a stray weed that dared to grow here. The dozens of acres around them were devoid of all traces of life as though heaven's decree had erased them entirely.

'This... was a maple forest? Just moments ago? Ridiculous! Even if a blazing fire consumed the forest, there should still be ashes, charred roots, lingering smoke... Yet here, nothing remains. It was too clean. Too... terrifying.'

Han Yan Meng bit her lip, her small hands clutching her chest as she nodded firmly. "This is the place! Third Grandpa, I cannot be mistaken! Look there... this is where Brother Xiao was lying bleeding... I can never forget it!"

Her words rang with certainty, yet the vast, desolate emptiness made her sound almost fragile, like a child insisting against reason.

The Third Elder's gaze grew darker as he studied the land again. His heart, however, was already sinking like a stone into a bottomless abyss.

Not willing to rely only on the girl's memory, he turned his attention to the outskirts of the area.

The villagers had gathered nearby, incense smoke spiraling toward the sky as they knelt and prayed with trembling hands.

When questioned, their replies made his heart throb violently.

Yes, this had once been a Maple Forest. Yes, only moments ago, the entire forest had vanished in front of their very eyes.

A miracle, they called it. But the Elder knew better.

'A miracle? No... this is no miracle. This is the trace of an existence that mortals should not provoke.'

The Third Elder's pupils shrank. His thoughts were thundering when suddenly, something tugged at the corner of his mind. He turned abruptly toward Han Yan Meng.

"Girl," He asked, voice suddenly sharp, "you said the man you saw... he was naked? He was completely naked?"

Han Yan Meng's eyes widened at the sudden question, her delicate face flushing crimson. "Grandpa... w-why do you ask such a thing?"

"Answer me!" His tone carried no room for hesitation, the weight of an elder pressing down like a mountain. "Was he naked? Nothing on his body, top to bottom? Not even aware of it?"

Han Yan Meng lowered her head, her cheeks scarlet as though hot iron had branded them. After recalling carefully, she whispered, "Y-yes... completely naked."

The Third Elder staggered half a step back, his face draining of color.

'So that's it...!'

A terrifying realization struck him.

That man must have been cultivating a peerless, heaven-defying martial law! A method so extreme that it annihilated everything around him, including his clothes, forest, and leaves, all burned into nothingness! And he, immersed in his cultivation, hadn't even noticed his own nakedness.

Then fate brought Xiao Feng Wu and Han Yan Meng stumbling upon him... That arrogant brat, no doubt, had run his mouth in ridicule.

To someone who wields such terrifying might, who can turn forests to dust with a breath, such insolence was an invitation to calamity!

And yet, Xiao Feng Wu's life had been spared.

This was mercy!

The Elder's heart shook violently.

'Mercy from such a being... and yet, Feng Wu dares call himself fortunate? No! If anything, his arrogance nearly doomed us all!'

The barren earth stretched endlessly around him. His thoughts whirled.

What kind of strength could silently erase an entire forest? Even the combined might of the Eight Great Masters could flatten these trees, but never... never could they erase them so thoroughly.

The Elder's back went cold.

'No wonder this man dared to laugh at Silver Blizzard City. If such is his strength, even if our city joined hands with the Xue Hun Manor, we might still not be his match. What kind of existence have we provoked?'

For the first time in centuries, the Third Elder felt genuine fear.

And he cursed inwardly, venom dripping from his thoughts.

'That worthless brat Xiao Feng Wu! Always arrogant, always reckless! He claims to be the pride of the younger generation of the Xiao Family, yet what merit has he ever earned? Nothing but trouble! And now, his arrogance has drawn the ire of a god among men! A calamity even our entire Silver Blizzard City may not withstand!'

His chest heaved as he wrestled down his fury, forcing calm upon his face.

"Let's go." His voice was grave, decisive. "We must head to the Jun Family immediately."

The girl blinked. "Grandpa... why?"

"Because if this mysterious master investigates further and discovers our involvement... if his fury is ignited..." The Third Elder's lips trembled slightly before pressing into a firm line. His eyes glinted with a rare, solemn terror. "Then no city or family will be able to shield us."

He turned, robes billowing, carrying the Little Princess once again. His face was outwardly calm, but his heart was roaring with curses and dread.

'From this day forward... the arrogance of Silver Blizzard City must be curbed. Or else... the next time we encounter such a godlike being, it won't just be a forest that vanishes, it will be us.'

And with that chilling thought, the Third Elder sped away.

------

On the other side, at the Jun Family estate

The Solitary Falcon and Feng Juan Yun had already settled into the Jun Family. And now, one more figure had entered Jun Mo Xie's camp.

His name was Hai Chen Feng. A name not to be spoken lightly, for he was the proud disciple of none other than Meng Hongchen, one of the Eight Great Masters.

For such a man to appear at Jun Mo Xie's side, even as a guest, was enough to raise countless eyebrows across the world, but Jun Mo Xie kept it a closely guarded secret, not wanting to reveal all his cards.

Of course, Jun Mo Xie himself had no urgent need for him. His path was already paved with methods and secrets far beyond the comprehension of ordinary experts.

But fate was a mischievous thing. By sheer coincidence, Hai Chen Feng had crossed paths with the Solitary Falcon.

What began as a polite greeting had very quickly spiraled into a clash.

Jun Mo Xie successfully stopped them before one of them could potentially get seriously injured.

Jun Mo Xie then invited him to follow him and told him that he could help him attain the breakthrough that Hai Chen Feng had not been able to achieve in over a decade.

And so, the three of them, Hai Chen Feng, Feng Juan Yun, and the Solitary Falcon, immersed themselves wholly into practice under Jun Mo Xie's guidance, drowning in his unorthodox methods, abandoning the outside world as though it no longer existed.
