Chapter 556 - Ch 176 - I’m Jun Mo Xie

Jun Mo Xie slowly closed his eyes. When he opened them again, everything returned to normal, as if the terrifying pressure from earlier had never existed.

The night air became calm, the forest quiet, and the moonlight gentle once more.

He casually turned his head toward a certain direction, his gaze settling on the place where he could faintly sense three powerful Spirit Xuan auras approaching.

Only a few breaths later, three shadows flashed through the forest and landed in front of him.

They were led by a middle-aged man wearing black robes, with a thick black beard and sharp, experienced eyes. The three descended lightly, their movements precise and controlled, clearly belonging to seasoned experts.

However, the moment they stood still, all three of them froze.

They stared ahead in silence.

Just a short while ago, they had clearly sensed an overwhelming, murderous aura that covered the sky and pressed down on the entire forest. That aura had been so terrifying that even they had felt alarmed. They had rushed over, thinking it must belong to some extraordinary figure, hoping to broaden their horizons and perhaps even make acquaintances with such a person.

But now, what stood before them were merely three young people.

One young man and two young women.

The three experts carefully observed them. The cultivation of the two girls was obvious at a glance. One of the beautiful girls had reached the middle stage of the Gold Xuan realm. The other, dressed in white, had already stepped into the Sky Xuan realm. Considering their age, such cultivation could already be called outstanding.

As for the young man standing calmly in front of them, his cultivation shocked them the most.

Peak Sky Xuan realm.

And he was still so young.

If this continued, surpassing their generation would only be a matter of time.

Their gazes then shifted slightly toward the forest nearby. Hundreds of people were moving efficiently among the trees, all showing the strength of Sky Xuan experts. For such a small group to possess this much power was no simple matter.

In the eyes of the three newcomers, this force could already be considered decent.

After a brief silence, the short and stout man stepped forward and spoke, his tone carrying authority.

"Young man, this old man has something to ask you. Who was the person who stopped here for a moment and then disappeared in the blink of an eye? I advise you to answer truthfully. It will be to your benefit. Do you know?"

His name was Dongfang Wen Dao, the youngest among the three brothers. The black-bearded man was Dongfang Wen Qing, while the slim one was Dongfang Wen Jian. All three were real brothers and renowned experts.

Dongfang Wen Dao had noticed that his two elder brothers were unwilling to speak first, so he took the initiative, believing his lower status made it appropriate.

However, Jun Mo Xie did not even glance at him. He simply stood there, calm and indifferent, as if the question had never been asked.

Dongfang Wen Dao's face instantly darkened.

'Are we not even worthy of his acknowledgment?'

This was a heavy blow to his pride. His voice sharpened as he shouted angrily, "Oi, brat! I asked you something. Are you deaf? Didn't you hear this old man's question? Do you need a spanking?"

Dongfang Wen Qing frowned slightly and spoke in a calmer tone, "Don't be frightened by the Third's question, child."

Despite his words, unease rose in his heart.

'This young man clearly sensed our cultivation. Yet he shows no fear, no surprise, and not even respect. He completely ignores our presence. Does he have a powerful backing? Or is he from some great family?'

Dongfang Wen Dao turned his head and laughed loudly. "Elder Brother, I've always believed that children need discipline from time to time."

At that moment, Jun Mo Xie finally turned his head. He narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at Dongfang Wen Dao. His tone was calm, but cold.

"Are you talking to me?"

Dongfang Wen Dao's anger exploded. "Little bastard! Do you wish to die?!"

"Wish to die?" Jun Mo Xie chuckled lightly. "Hehe… I don't think King Yama would be willing to accept me."

That indifferent laugh completely enraged Dongfang Wen Dao. He reached out to grab Jun Mo Xie, intending to seize him and teach him a harsh lesson.

But Jun Mo Xie merely tilted his body slightly and avoided the grasp with ease.

In the same instant, a dagger appeared in his hand, flashing with cold light as it aimed directly at Dongfang Wen Dao's neck.

Even though Dongfang Wen Dao was a Spirit Xuan expert, the neck was still a fatal weakness. If that strike landed, death would be inevitable.

Everything happened in a blink.

The Spirit Xuan expert found himself forced into a disadvantage the moment the exchange began.

"Damn it!" Dongfang Wen Dao shouted in shock.

Though startled, he did not panic. As a seasoned expert, he immediately leaped forward to escape. His speed was terrifyingly fast.

Jun Mo Xie sneered, and his figure blurred as he followed effortlessly, as if he were merely strolling.

Dongfang Wen Dao changed his posture seven times in an instant and pushed his power to its limit, increasing it nearly tenfold. Even so, the chilling presence behind him remained unchanged.

It was close.

Suddenly, his waist stiffened as a cold blade rested gently against his neck.

Dongfang Wen Dao froze completely, and cold sweat poured down his body, soaking his clothes.

The forest fell silent.

The other two Dongfang brothers stood rooted in place, their faces pale and their eyes wide with disbelief. Their hearts pounded violently.

Even Guan Qing Han and Dugu Xiao Yi, who could not fully understand what had happened, felt an instinctive chill run through their bodies.

But the Spirit Xuan experts understood perfectly.

This was terrifying... Absolutely terrifying.

A peak Sky Xuan had suppressed a Spirit Xuan expert in a direct exchange, chasing him effortlessly and placing a blade at his neck.

What did this mean?

Their pride, confidence, and certainty were shattered in that instant.

And Jun Mo Xie stood there calmly, dagger steady, expression indifferent, as if he had just done something trivial.

As if this outcome had always been inevitable.

Dongfang Wen Dao slowly took a deep breath. The cold blade at his neck felt heavier than a mountain. After a long moment, he carefully turned his head and looked straight into Jun Mo Xie's eyes. His expression was complicated, filled with shock, unwillingness, and reluctant admiration.

"You have guts," He said slowly. "I admit defeat."

Jun Mo Xie withdrew the dagger as if nothing had happened. He smiled lightly, his tone suddenly relaxed and teasing, as if they had not just been trying to kill each other moments ago.

"No need to be so serious, Third Uncle," He said casually. "How is Grandma's health these days?"

The words fell like thunder.

"Huh…?"

"Hic… hic…"

All three Dongfang brothers froze. Their expressions turned blank as they stared at him, completely unable to process what they had just heard.

Jun Mo Xie chuckled softly. His sharp edge vanished, replaced by a familiar warmth.

"What? You don't recognize me?" He said with a faint smile. "It's been so many years since we last met. First Uncle Wen Qing, Second Uncle Wen Jian, Third Uncle Wen Dao. Have you really forgotten your nephew already?"

"Huh…?! Hic… hic… hic…"

Jun Mo Xie looked at them calmly and spoke clearly. "I'm Jun Mo Xie."

Those four words struck like lightning.

Dongfang Wen Qing and Dongfang Wen Jian gasped loudly and staggered back two steps. Their eyes widened in pure disbelief, as if they had seen a ghost standing under the bright sun.

As for Dongfang Wen Dao, his mouth fell open completely.

"You… you… Who did you say you are?" Dongfang Wen Jian stammered. His lips trembled, his voice croaked with shock. "Jun Mo… Xie? Tian… Tian Xiang's Jun Family? The Jun Family's Third Young Master?"

"Yes," Jun Mo Xie replied, tilting his head slightly. "Still can't recognize me?"

"Haaah… haaah… haaah…"

All three Spirit Xuan experts were breathing heavily now. Their bodies trembled faintly, not from fear, but from disbelief and emotion crashing together.

Jun Mo Xie smiled faintly and said, "This isn't a good place to talk. Please come with us. We'll continue later at the base."

The three brothers exchanged looks, then nodded without hesitation. There were simply too many things they needed to ask, too many things they needed to confirm.
