Li Jue Tian's gaze locked onto Jun Mo Xie.
Those eyes were sharp, cold, and heavy with pressure, like blades forged from pure will. It felt as if countless invisible daggers were shooting straight toward Jun Mo Xie, trying to pierce through his body and soul.
Jun Mo Xie did not retreat. He simply raised his head and met that gaze head-on. There was no fear in his eyes, no hesitation. Instead, a deep red light quietly flashed within them, dark and dangerous, like embers buried beneath ashes.
Li Jue Tian's pupils shrank slightly.
For just a brief instant, the Great Master felt as if he was not looking at a young man at all, but at a terrifying ancient beast hidden deep within those eyes. And right now, the beast was silent, patient, and capable of tearing the heavens apart once awakened.
It was at that moment that a long, sharp screech suddenly rang out from somewhere far away.
The sound was faint yet drawn out, as if it had traveled across endless mountains and forests.
Everyone froze in their spot, and the entire field went silent as countless people instinctively strained their ears, trying to catch that strange sound more clearly.
"Puff—!"
Many soldiers stationed in Southern Heaven City suddenly jerked backward. They raised their heads and spat out mouthfuls of fresh blood. That single screech had violently shaken their internal organs.
Fear spread instantly.
Such power was terrifying.
Before anyone could recover, the screech faded, and then, from the endless mountains, forests, valleys, and rivers in every direction, countless Xuan Beasts lifted their heads at the same time.
The series of roars, howls, and screeches answered back in unison.
The sound exploded outward like a tsunami, like a massive landslide crashing down from the heavens.
Tens of millions of voices overlapped, shook the earth, and tore through the sky. The people on the field trembled uncontrollably, their legs going weak as cold fear crawled up their spines.
The sound was so violent, so sharp, that the thick clouds covering the sky were torn apart and scattered. In the blink of an eye, the blue sky above was laid bare, clear, vast, and terrifyingly bright.
Li Jue Tian's expression finally changed. His face turned solemn as he stared into the distance, unable to hide the shock in his eyes.
"Tian… Fa's Lord… has… arrived…"
Jun Mo Xie watched the reactions of the surrounding experts and laughed inwardly.
When Li Jue Tian had earlier tried to use the name of the Three Holy Lands to threaten Mei Xue Yan, Jun Mo Xie had nearly leapt forward to cut him down on the spot. In this world, the ones he hated the most were precisely those so-called Three Holy Lands.
The bastards of the Three Holy Lands were ungrateful, power-hungry, and shameless.
They hunted their own allies and stabbed them in the back, all for their fragile pride and filthy ambitions.
Jun Mo Xie's eyes sparkled faintly as he sensed the overwhelming might of Tian Fa for the first time in its true form. It was still far from the strength of the armies he commanded, but compared to everything he had seen so far in this world, it was impressive.
As the crowd slowly dispersed, Jun Mo Xie turned to leave, but his gaze suddenly paused.
Under the banner of the Baili Family stood a young man.
The youth stared blankly at the sky where smoke and sound had just vanished. His expression was lifeless, yet deep within his eyes burned a frightening hunger.
Those two eyes were filled with a hunger for power and for revenge.
Jun Mo Xie found him interesting, and he walked over.
Baili Luo Yun turned around, his expression indifferent, and prepared to enter the tent. It was at that moment that he noticed a young man approaching him.
He did not recognize him personally, but he knew the name.
"Baili Luo Yun?" Jun Mo Xie tilted his head slightly.
"Jun Mo Xie? The Third Young Master of the Jun Family…?" Baili Luo Yun replied calmly, his face still unreadable.
"How about we have some chit-chat? Come with me," Jun Mo Xie said casually.
"I don't talk to strangers," Baili Luo Yun replied coldly as he turned away.
"I've heard you're one of the rarest Xuan Qi talents of this age," Jun Mo Xie continued, stepping forward. "So, you wouldn't be afraid of me, right?"
Baili Luo Yun's tall, straight figure suddenly stopped.
"The rumors say you're twenty-six and already at the peak of the Jade Xuan realm," Jun Mo Xie added with a playful smile. "Yet you don't dare talk to me? Are you afraid I'm plotting something against you?"
Baili Luo Yun turned around slowly. His face remained calm. His eyes were still tranquil as he looked at Jun Mo Xie.
"It seems the rumors were wrong," Jun Mo Xie sighed lightly. "But that's normal... Nine out of ten rumors are lies."
He turned around. "I was too bold. I shouldn't have come."
He did not walk back toward his tent.
Instead, he headed toward the outer edge of the camp.
After a few steps, the sound of footsteps followed behind him.
Baili Luo Yun was walking calmly after him, neither too close nor too far.
Jun Mo Xie smiled faintly. He knew this would work.
This was exactly the kind of person he wanted, someone worth drawing to his side.
And the conditions Baili Luo Yun demanded from him, Jun Mo Xie had no intention of refusing them.
After everything was settled, Jun Mo Xie finally made his decision.
That night, after changing his appearance, he activated his void form and silently stepped into the territory of the Tian Fa Forest.
Jun Mo Xie slipped into the Tian Fa Forest like a silent shadow, his body drifting soundlessly in his Void form. Space itself seemed to bend around him, swallowing his presence.
In just a few breaths, the scenery around him changed, and he arrived at the center of a wide, quiet clearing.
He stopped, and the Void form dispersed.
Jun Mo Xie stepped forward and stood firmly on the ground. At the same time, he released his aura without restraint.
BOOM!
The earth trembled as if struck by an invisible hammer. A terrifying pressure spread outward in waves.
The Xuan Beasts hiding near the clearing let out frightened cries and collapsed to the ground, their bodies trembling uncontrollably. Some directly pressed their heads to the soil, not daring to move an inch.
This was not hostility.
This was absolute dominance.
As his aura continued to ripple through the forest, Jun Mo Xie heard heavy, frantic footsteps pounding against the ground in the distance. Trees shook, leaves rustled wildly, and the forest seemed to come alive in panic.
Jun Mo Xie calmly turned his head, and his gaze lifted toward the sky.
A massive crane was flying toward him, its wings stretching wide and proud, stirring powerful gusts of wind with every flap. Its snow-white feathers gleamed faintly under the moonlight, and its sharp eyes were filled with excitement rather than fear.
In the blink of an eye, the crane descended.
Before touching the ground, its body shimmered, and the huge beast transformed into a young man. He landed lightly, straightened his clothes, and looked at Jun Mo Xie with a wide grin on his slightly strange-looking face.
"Brother-in-law!" The young man called out cheerfully, his tone respectful yet full of familiarity. "You finally came!"
Jun Mo Xie looked at him and laughed softly.
"So lively as always," He said casually. "Long Crane, how have you been?"
Long Crane scratched his head and laughed. "Good! Very good! Never been better! Tian Fa is peaceful, and cultivation has been smooth. Life's been comfortable."
Jun Mo Xie nodded. He did not need to ask anything further.
With a single glance, he could already feel it clearly that Long Crane's aura was completely different from before. It was stable, vast, and profound. He had already broken through the Saint Emperor realm and stepped into true sainthood.
Jun Mo Xie smiled faintly.
"So you've finally stepped over that threshold," He said teasingly. "Looks like the flying Xuan Beasts won't be bossed around by you anymore."
Long Crane laughed loudly, not the least bit embarrassed. "Of course not! I've already handed everything over to my successor. I'm old now... time to enjoy life and cultivate properly."
"Old?" Jun Mo Xie raised an eyebrow.
Long Crane coughed dryly and changed the topic. "Ahem… not just me. All the Xuan Beast Kings broke through some time ago. We've all passed our titles to the next generation."
Jun Mo Xie's eyes flashed with interest.
"All of them?" He asked calmly.
"Yes," Long Crane nodded seriously. "Every single one. Tian Fa has entered a new era."
Jun Mo Xie looked around at the endless forest, sensing the hidden strength sleeping beneath the land. A faint smile appeared on his lips.
"Good," He said softly. "Very good."
The Tian Fa Forest had grown stronger.
And that meant the game ahead would be far more interesting.
