--Honey Lou's Point of View--
((The Next Day)) The sun was shining, my alarm was ringing and this house was filled with peace which was kind of annoying. Why?
It already felt similar to our 'home' back in New York, the only difference is that I have no one here while on the other hand, in New York, they were just always out doing their own business.
It frustrated me now that I had to live alone, the house needed to be cleaned regularly and the laundry should always be done daily or probably once a week should be fine.
Problem solved!!
For now, I'll be exploring the town and buying groceries but soon enough, I have school to work on.
I don't know if I will still be homeschooled or if it will be in regular school but at least I was ahead with my lessons and everything should be fine.
All I needed was a positive attitude in such cases, especially this one...
I got up and began to fix my bed before I warmed up and headed out to take an hour-long shower, chose an outfit for the day then prepared my usual cheese-ham sliced bread for breakfast which was the recipe I created myself, I then settled down and ate well.
What I had been planning to do lately was to surprise the friend I met online or should I say, the one from my saved contacts who I used to call so often.
She told me multiple things that my mother and father never really mentioned about our family, a sister whom I would not want to meet in person, and other relatives I haven't seen in a while.
She has been a friend of mine ever since we were two and a half years old, our friendship started when she sometimes mistook me as my older sister and that led to us becoming closer...
I was looking forward to meeting my sister and seeing for myself if she were truly short-tempered just as Sora had described not so long ago.
Not that I would believe a person could be so unreasonable and would do irrational deeds to others.
But I believed that there must have been something that caused her to pretty much boss everyone around.
She also mentioned many other people aside from her.
As I was lost in thoughts, I came to the point where I didn't notice the road upfront and it was a good thing that the vehicles stopped moving, or else I could've been involved in another car accident.
I felt so many eyes on me and it made me feel quite anxious as the place became awkward so I quickly took a different route.
I rushed on my way to the café just to meet my dear friend, Sora Young.
I shook the thought off my mind and just went on, trying to concentrate on where I was headed.
It was a good thing that I always carried my Polaroid around with me everywhere I went, I could not ever leave it behind since it was the main reason I went outdoors most of the time.
To picture the memories...
I captured lots of photographs to store them in an album after visiting the places I stopped by.
Of course, the Namsan Tower was the first place I went to, then there was this river, the name I kind of forgot, which was said to be popular also.
Once it was around noon, I dropped by the Bloom Café.
After minutes of walking and regretting not taking a cab, I realized that my plan to explore was not at the right time but who cared anyway?
There were plenty of chances to visit these places some other time.
I went to find a bench that only took a few steps to get to, then I re-charged my energy there before heading to the other side of the road towards the Bloom Café.
I checked my phone and decided not to waste any more time going to places I was still unfamiliar with. Instead, I chose to stay at the café to meet Sora and her friends too until the sun settled.
I slowly started to get back on my feet and went along with the wind as it blew northwest and then came to a stop in front of a fountain, I stared at the water flowing.
Thinking... "Why did I feel unsatisfied?"
I shrugged off the fact that I somehow felt alone at that moment.
It seemed like it was just about time for me to drop by the café I was told about, I tried not to trip or do anything humiliating as I entered the place, I greeted the employee who was surely near my age taking note of a previous order then as she faced me, her behavior kind of confused me.
I don't know why she acted that way because obviously, I couldn't have seen her expression but by the sound of her gasp, that was how I noticed.
Did I smile weirdly?
Did I upset her?
Was she weirded out because of me?
I asked her if I ever did anything offensive to her or if it was because there was some kind of a problem.
'But to no luck, she left which was quite rude...'
It was embarrassing when she left right after making things awkward, fortunately, another employee came over to the counter and took my order instead.
"Are you new around here?" he asked and I nodded.
"This place is a totally friendly place for anyone who's new around." he spoke in a very cheerful tone of voice or so, I thought. "Sure, I guess."
Totally friendly? That girl from earlier behaved way far from what he just claimed...
I felt really upset for the way she behaved towards me although meeting this boy right here wasn't so bad since I got used to the café in a matter of time.
Of course, I took my time in placing an order while the guy voluntarily introduced everything they sold such as biscuits, any kind of drink that went well with the pastries and desserts here as well as the whole special set of bundles.
Yet at the same time, behind me was a long line and I had to try stopping him before the other customers departed at some point.
At first, I wanted to try the red velvet cake alongside the strawberry smoothie but I decided to go with a triple-layered chocolate waffle and had a bubble gum flavored bubble tea which I asked to make it sweeter than ever, too much for anyone else to handle except for me.
I took a seat at the corner up front near a window then waited for my order to be served.
I sat there all alone, listening to PLUM's daily playlist for me.
It was programmed for many things especially when it comes to maintaining my safety but there sure was something that kept on making it do things without being asked to.
It must inform me about a thing or two regarding the people around me within the range of 2 meters.
Just when I was about to take another sip, my phone began vibrating and of course, I took the call as it was not important to check who it was though.
No one answered from the other side while I waited a few minutes before hanging up, all I heard was someone breathing but how come their number was saved in my phone contacts?
Could it be someone I used to know?
Weird…
I did not mind it but still, I looked at the call logs, and there it was, her name being Suzuki Mayo yet why would she even think about calling me and acting like that?
I pressed the question mark button near her name and PLUM started to tell me things about her.
I found out that she had already died at the age of 9 but how come someone called using her number?
'Too many questions were lingering in my mind so I continued listening to music to distract myself...'
--Author's Point of View--
The 16-year-old girl finished her drink as she kept on ignoring the noise in the café. As a group of friends showed up at that moment, Yua, the Chinese part-time employee warmly greeted them.
Every one of them went to Seoul Global High and was the most intimidating yet popular group among all the students in Seoul, while the school itself also has its title for a reason.
As the group had gone to their usual spot, one girl spotted someone familiar right at the corner which caused her to split from her friends...
She sneakily approached the female just to try and surprise her as they hadn't met one another for so long.
Other people didn't pay much attention to what the girl was doing because they all knew who she was and the fact that she must have found someone new or a friend she just wanted to greet.
Sora Young got up, slowly spreading her arms wide open, loudly exclaiming.
"Hello... And welcome!" wrapping her arms around the older female as she hugged her tightly.
A huge wave of questions then started running through Lee Haesu's mind once she had a clear view of the girl her younger friend greeted.
In her very own café, the sister she left and hadn't shown up for a long time.
Until now...
The thought of Honey Lou who has done damage to her life has returned home and Haesu wasted no second seeing as the Honey-girl was with 'her' friend, she couldn't help but head to where they were.
The other ones from their group knew what was gonna go down and pulled Haesu back before she caused another bad incident under the name of their school and even the image of her family.
"Don't even bother, just let them be." Yua advised her older friend as she left the group and
resumed doing her duties at the café.
Haesu looked at everyone and grasped onto her rational self, she decided to shun the presence of her sister despite the anger that was building up inside of her.
Haesu managed her employees and watched the two from a distance as they caught up with each other's lives. 'She'll ruin everything... Again.' she thought to herself.
"How high must I refill the cups?" the employee with a dolphin-like smile went up to her for guidance, Haesu looked at him and ended up crushing the cups he handed to her.
"Alright then. I will take this and you go to your office, boss!!"
He pushed his older friend away.
