Ernesto asked while he glares at his family that is also wearing their pajamas like him.
It is already bed time but Ernesto couldn't sleep because his father was still working on his bedroom couch, his stepmother was combing his hair, and his step sister was reading a book beside him.
"What's too much about this? Don't mind us and sleep." Jose Oliva said this without looking at Ernesto, but with a smile on his lips that tells Ernesto that his father is enjoying what is going on inside his bedroom right now.
"Mother, stop combing my hair! Please go to your room!"
Ernesto gently moves Maria's hand away from his hair, which causes Maria to look at Ernesto gloomily.
Ernesto feels bad about pushing her away, but he can't help it as he still feels awkward around her stepmother. Although he can sometimes play around with Maria, Ernesto can't have affectionate time with her.
