"My Queen, are you listening ?" David questions me. It's been 1 week since I set everyone to their tasks, today is the day Magnus the Kings brother is supposed to arrive.
"I'm sorry David, I lost concentration for a moment continue with your report" Its been hard this last week my wolf has been close to the surface and I have had to keep fighting her back from coming out. To be honest I also have weird dreams about someone but I can never clearly remember who they are or if its even a real person, this really is not great timing for all this to happen, I can not be week in front of the King or my people.
"Forgive me my queen but you seem tired do you need rest" Lestat questions, Of course he would notice can't get anything by him.
"No, I'm fine lets continue I have to meet this Magnus" I nod to David.
"So as I was saying we can't dig up too much more on Magnus, he's been travelling around all the different communitys and Packs that he can visit, although he is restricted by his rogue status. We think he is working with another Alpha who has been helping shelter him so he's not gone full rogue, but he does remain packless. We can't determine who the Alpha helping him is yet. Thats pretty much all we can get about him without directly confronting him about his motives."
"Thats fine, I'll get the rest out of him today when we meet, Flora any movement with he King or the other brother ?" I look over to Flora.
"Nothing of note my Queen, He's been holding meetings with his top advisors and Alphas he trusts, from what I hear he can't find too much info on you, almost like someone wiped all the information from the records. His brother however has been going out visiting other packs like he is trying to find something or somebody." I wonder.
"You don't think he is looking for Magnus ?" 201 Interrupts.
"Could be but it seems he doesn't want to be found and is keeping out of the way" David adds.
"Well whatever the case it doesn't matter, Flora keep an eye on both of them and report anything even if it seems insignificant, Information is how we win wars and I want to win this war before it even starts. To that end 201 I'd like you to assist Flora in gathering information from all over the wolf kingdom, find out about the discontent towards the King and the Alphas, information like that will be very useful if this goes to full all out war. How do are warriors look Delphyne ?"
"Oh they are so ready, if this come down to a fight I'm sure we will wipe the floor with the crappy wolfs, no offence my queen" She smiles at me.
"Ha, none taken they are crappy" I laugh with her.
"Okay does anyone else have anything to report" I look around at everyone.
"No I think thats all, we shall depart and get on with our duties, Magnus should be here in an hour or so" everyone gets up to leave, I notice Madock looking at me almost like he's examining me. Just as i'm about to ask him about it my wolf goes crazy suddenly trying to take over, the pain of trying to hold her back is intense I double over and crash to the floor.
"MY QUEEN !!" Lestat rushes to catch me.
"Leave her alone, let me deal with it" Madock insists. He crouches down to me and holds my hand.
"Don't worry I'll fix this" he whispers to me, honestly I have no idea what's going on, but my wolf is tearing at me to get out and I don't know why.
"Sit anima tranquillitas et quies, somnus capiat et dolor evanescat" I hear Madock chant, I feel my wolf start to calm and slip back into a slumber, the pain also starts to go away. I just lay on the floor trying to catch my breath.
"Okay what the hell just happened, is this some other curse we don't know about ?" Delphyne questions everyone. Madock ignores her and places his hand on my head trying to sense my wolf, at least I think he is.
"How long has your wolf been trying to take over ?" he looks at me as he asks, guess I can't hide that anymore.
"For about a week, but she just suddenly went crazy" I answer honestly, I might as well.
"201 please can you go check our border I think you may fine our visitor has arrived early" madock asks him.
"What do you mean, how could you know that and don't you think we have more pressing matters to deal with ?" He questions.
"I DON'T HAVE TIME TO EXPLAIN, JUST DO IT !" Madock sounds mad, why do I feel like everything is about to get complicated.
