Alena was in her university dormitory when she got call to return urgently by her father.
He asked her to visit home immediately. She loved her father and was happy on being called by him, regardless of her stepmother and stepsister. Later always used to bully and despise her. But she didn't take it to heart and continued to tolerate. She didn't have any complaints as long as she can live with her father.
It was a joyful moment for her. After all, it was after one year she was returning home. She was extremely cheerful.
There she went to her dorm and dressed herself. Then she did necessary packing and booked bus ticket online. Her home was not very far. It was only two and a half hours journey.
Alena longed for a happy family. She always wanted to have her father and mother to be on her side. But the very thing was not possible. Yet she never complained and tried to live a happy and peaceful life alone.
Alena was a top student who always ranked top 10 in her university. It was only last year for her graduation to complete. She was a hard-working student and was doing great to achieve her goals. She wanted to stand on her own feet. She wanted to become a successful fashion designer. And for this, she will have to give her best to step in a good company to start her career.
She used to be an independent girl and always depends upon herself to meet her needs.
She was happy and enjoying her life. But it was not same for a long time. There will be a huge disaster coming ahead which will change her life forever.
*3 hours later*
It was almost evening. Alena was standing in front of her house along with her luggage. It was a huge villa. But today, it was more captivating and was decorated beautifully with lights that were glowing brightly. It was lively everywhere.
There were many cars parked outside. There was hustling and bustling inside house. It was looking like party was going on.
Alena was feeling some restlessness inside her. It felt her like something was not right. It gave her goosebumps on the very thought of it. But soon she relaxed herself.
Lets wait and see what was waiting for her.
Alena's point of view:
Inside the hall,
I spotted my father as soon as I entered, talking with some high personalities. He gestured me to come. It was looking like all my imagination. Although it seemed weird but I was contented.
"My dear daughter, what took you so long. How was your journey. Are you tired?"
"I am good father." My head was rolling for possibilities my father would have called me. But can't get the one.
Should I just ask him directly! But no, its after a long time I am having such pleasant conversation with him.
But at the very moment, he grabbed my hand and went upon stage. I was all confused. What was happening.
He took the mike saying, "Hello everyone. I am delighted to have your presence today. On this joyful occasion, I have something important to announce.
I would like to introduce the girl beside me, Alena Roy, my second daughter."
Huh! What is going on? What is with this sudden introduction. I was in a daze. But I was taken out form my reviere after he squeezed my hand.
"Hello everyone. I am Roy's second daughter, Alena Roy."
Gossips started all around: "I have never heard of Roy's having another daughter.
Yes, you are right me too never heard of it."
"Today I am going to announce my second daughter's marriage with Will's eldest son, Aiden Will. This celebration is now on. I hope everyone will enjoy to their heart's content."
What! Father decided my marriage with even discussing with me. Don't have I right for say in my marriage. How can father do this to me. I can't believe. No, I can't get involved in marriage. I have plans for my future. First, I have to become a successful person. I have to prove my abilities.
"Father, I want to talk something urgent with you in private."
"Sure. Lets go to the upper room."
Inside a private room...
"Father, I have told you many times that I don't wanna marry. Give me sometime, father. I want to prove myself first."
"Listen Alena, I have given you a lot of time. And now it has reached my limit. I can't do anymore for you. You have to follow my arrangements."
Alena was an ambitious girl. She wanted to become a successful person. It was also her mom's wish before her death. She wanted her daughter to stand on her feet and make great achievements in her life. She didn't want her daughter to become a dependent person like her.
Her mother belonged to a rich family. She was like a spoiled rich kid who only knows how to spend her money. During her university days, she fell in love with her classmate.
He was Alena's father. He belonged to a middle class family and was admitted to the university through scholarship. He was an extremely brilliant student who always score high and had a great future.
But their relationship was not accepted at all by her mother's family due to his background.
So her mother decided to elope with her father. Their life became hard in their initial days. It was full of hardships. It became more difficult for Alena's mother who was from a rich family to do everyday chores. They did hide their identities too.
But later it stabilized when Alena's father finally got his degree. Then again he was the one who had scored high. So he got an invitation to work abroad.
It was perfect opportunity for both of them to start their new life. So both of them went abroad leaving all their worries behind. It felt like all problems will be solved soon. But unknown to both, it was actually start to all their problems.
