Leslie is the shy girl of the group. In fact she didn't even anticipated to even be noticed by her current friends because she is too shy and socially anxious that she sweats literal oceans worth when she's called to participate in anything.
And it's not even an exaggeration, she literally fainted after she introduced herself upfront of the class on her elementary days.
And since that day, she's been a laughing stock to her peers, although the teachers tried to stop it but they only ever manage to reduce the insults.
Since then she has become a loner who doesn't want to interact with her fellow classmate. And she stayed like that her whole elementary days.
Her parents tried to talk her into making new friends, they tried to take her to therapy, but it all ultimately failed.
The embarrassing memory of her fainting after introducing herself is forever planted in her brain.
She thought that high school would be a new chance to start a new and finally make friends, and after finally getting a successful introduction about herself, she has newfound courage that high school wouldn't be so bad.
But what she failed to realized that some of the kids who knew her in her elementary days solely because she never saw anyone's face clearly then as she always looked down, avoiding others gazes.
Needless to say, Sandy Springs is a fairly big subdivision on its own, it has it's own elementary school that all children attend to in their elementary days, so everyone knew everyone.
But as they graduate and move to high school they started to pack their things and travel the big city near the subdivision.
The city is relatively near, only a 30 minute drive, an hour at most if there's traffic which is very rare, in fact traffic only happens on enrollment and first days of class because of the influx of students from Sandy Springs.
So a few months after class began, she noticed students are looking at her while whispering amongst themselves.
She assumed that she did something wrong and her fear started to creep back in. Her brain went into overdrive as she keeps thinking, 'Did I do something wrong?' over and over.
She started to have an anxiety attack and she would've cried on the spot if not for a saving grace, Charlotte Godvern
If not for Charlotte, she might've fainted on the spot and repeat the same thing that happened to her before.
"Okay, whatever you're talking about, drop it now!" Charlotte exclaimed to the other students.
"Its Godvern!"
"Crap its Charlotte..."
The students panic in a hushed tone and started to disperse, Charlotte stood for a few more seconds. Charlotte has a reputation for beating up bullies regardless of the consequence.
She loves and always play the vigilante hero, and she always gets off scoff free because her parents are well off, she trains mixed martial arts, and the kids always back her up when she was taken to detention.
She even became an unofficial rule enforcer because her mere presents stops the others from thinking of doing some mischief.
Her reputation is spread across the entire Sandy Springs and even the entitled parents of the kids she beat up couldn't touch her because she has the backing of other parents and basically half of the whole neighborhood.
Though she is not invincible, she was still given detention but they are minimize her time there and she even accepts some punishments just to make the parents shut up and let her continue to live in her hero fantasy.
The punishments are harsh, well... Compared to a kid at least.
It just ranged from mowing the lawn and plucking out weeds to help washing a car, and since she practice mixed martial arts, she took it as training.
She was suggested to go and join a martial arts tournament for kids and won a couple of regional fights without breaking a sweat.
Her talent immediately got recognized by the one of the judges and said her skills are way too refined for someone who is only 9 years old.
So when she was approached by said judge, she was offered a scholarship after high school which she and her parents accepted without a second thought.
To Charlotte, this is the reward for doing what was right and protecting the other kids from being bullied and keeping peace around Sandy Springs.
This only boosted her confidence in training and also continuing her vigilante fantasy around the neighborhood.
She always tried to keep her ego in check since she strongly believes that if she let her pride get in the way, she would turn out to be a villain instead of a hero.
And now back in the present past, she invited Leslie to follow her to her club, which Leslie refused at first because she thought it was some kind of martial arts club but Charlotte insisted and since she just help her out massively, she just followed her.
