4. Yunge's Song (Part Three)
Shen Yang suddenly proposed to take Yunge away. For a moment, everyone in the Xu Family couldn't quite accept it. Although Yunge hadn't been with them for long, they all genuinely cherished this lively, pure, and innocent little girl. First Madam Xu, who had no daughters, favored Yunge even more than her own sons. Meanwhile, in her heart, she secretly hoped this little girl might become her daughter-in-law. Now that Yunge was suddenly about to leave, how could First Madam Xu not be upset?
But Shen Yang was, after all, Yunge's blood relative. Even now that he had become Yunge's adoptive father, their bond was much closer than any connection to the Xu Family. When Shen Yang stated his intention to take Yunge, the Xu Family could find no reason to refuse.
Suppressing her anxiety, First Madam Xu cast a hopeful glance at her son, who was sitting in a lower seat, hoping he could devise a plausible excuse to refuse Shen Yang.
