Natalie Jennings laughed when she heard that.
He believed Zoe Vance and Violet Jones; he'd fallen right into their trap.
"What if I don't go?" Natalie said. "What will happen?"
Hayden Sheffield said indifferently, "If you go to the hospital, you can prove your innocence."
"I'm already innocent!"
"Since you're innocent, then you can prove it openly and honestly."
Natalie bit her lower lip, and turned back at him, furious: "Hayden Sheffield, you don't get it, you never understand why I don't want to go to the hospital!"
Hayden frowned slightly, wanting to walk toward her, but Violet Jones quickly clung to his arm.
He had to stop.
Natalie looked at him in disappointment: "Just because someone jumps out and accuses me of plastic surgery, I have to go and clear my name? Why can't you just trust me, unwaveringly? Why do you want me to go to the hospital?"
She hadn't had plastic surgery—she wasn't afraid of going to the hospital.
But it made her miserable, utterly disappointed.
