Chapter 1 - A New Life

It's been 13 years since the first time my father sent me to the Main Island for my military training at the age of 5. Not a single things are to be complained about though, I love every single moment I spent at the wonderful Land of Autumn.

Well, what's done is done and now… it is time to finally move on.

I'm back to my birth land, at the main human city on the beautiful Island of Kaput to continue my study as a soldier. Or maybe a scholar? Ahahaha… in this life, nothing will ever be certain.

"Sahasya… My Prince, wake up!" I heard a faint and soft voice calling upon my name.

As I opened my eyes, I saw a pair of amber staring down at me, covered by the dim darkness of this room.

"Ah good morning, dear butterfly. Your face looks as mesmerizing as always."

It was my spouse, Anna. Her gleaming big eyes shone like the shade of candles, drown in this dark bedroom of ours, glamoured by her silky crimson hair. Which kind of… tickle me with their tips.

"No time for flattery, we'll be late for college!"

She isn't the most expressive girl I know, yet the curve of her eyebrows tells a lot about her worries.

"Eh? What time is it?" I asked her, with my body still sucked by the bed.

"Seven." She replies.

"You jest…"

"I wish I am…"

Both of us stay silent for a while, stunned like the fool we are.

"Grab our clothing! I'll prepare the bath."

"Will do."

Anna and I then rushed ourselves out getting ready for college as if our lives depend on it.

Our bathroom luckily stands right within this bedroom of ours, so we washed each other's bodies with a dance-like motion, powered by the speed of us fearing of being late.

Through our prowess with the flame, we quickly dried our skin afterwards from every sheet of water.

"Been a while since we wear these uniforms eh? Felt like a long holiday already."

"It's only been a couple of months since our graduation, My Prince… what are you on about?"

Kinda funny seeing her trying to wear her clothing as fast as possible, yet still orderly to keep her uniform neat.

"Really? I already missed seeing those latexes shaped the curve or your hip and waist."

I commented as she tidies up the fiery scarf hanging around my neck.

Praise the Sun as She blesses those honey-colored skin of hers, even light slipped when they tries to walk on it. Indeed dewy smooth it was.

"Nothing stopping you from having me wear anything you desire, My Prince." She said as making sure the way I dresses complimented my title. "Now come, please. We don't wanna be late on our first day are we?"

Calmly then we storm out of our room, being in a rush is not a reason to throw away our manners in this house. As we walk to our front door, our presence caught the attention of my Ice Mother.

"Sahasya? Anna? Isn't it a bit late for your first day?"

She shouted from the kitchen as we try to wear our shoes.

"Hahahaha sorry Mother Adeline, our alarm got lost somewhere."

That is one awkward reply, not to mention spiced by my anxious laugh.

"Wait a minute ok? Let me pack these breakfasts of yours."

"Sorry again, Mother Adeline. But we're on a race against the clock!"

"Later, Mother Adeline!"

Both Anna and I hurried through the front door, making our way to the Academy which is kind of far if we were to go there by walking.

There are rules that we must follow as an archstudent while inside the city, whether it is on the street or in the Academy itself:

First, walk, never run. Sure we can fasten the pace, but running is forbidden, even though the city as a whole is a gigantic place.

Second, always show the weapon you carried. It will help the other archstudents or soldiers, to identify your class, and bring calmness to the citizen knowing we're always ready for battle.

For this case, right now in my back hang a steel-made sword called [Santi]. While Anna has a pair of [Butterfly Pistols] hanging around her waist.

Back to my story, on our way through the sidewalk, we were greeted by a sudden flash of cyan particles showing their presence right on the street where we stroll. A big circle popped out and within, with a shade of black and blue dastardly spin, engulfing the air and dust around it.

It's a portal! A Scientist portal! And from it emanate an ice lady with a sparkling white dress. Her crystal sky-eyes glanced at the both of us, along with her calm and kind smile.

"Don't forget your breakfast, eating is important for a soldier."

She was none other than my Ice Mother, and she brought our packed meal with her.

"Uh… thank you, Mother Adeline."

I then accepted the gifts she offered us, kinda shocked seeing her teleported here just to deliver us foods.

"Anytime, dear." She smiled softly.

And now back she went to her portal. That hole later closed itself along with her disappearance.

"Man… isn't magic just awesome…"

I stand amazed by what I just witnessed and experienced.

"Do you think we'll be able to do that too someday?"

Asked Anna as we continued our walk.

"The hell are you saying? You can already travel around with your butterfly skills."

Hearing that question kinda annoys me, but I'm not at all envious since that's her signature move as an Ina Waraney.

"Well… it's not as versatile as Callati Teleportia…"

Hmm, kind of true, teleportation does seems a lot more versatile. It can go anywhere and travel very far, as long as you're good at it and imaginative enough.

After a couple of minutes walking, accompanied by the sound of sonorous drums called Kendang, we finally arrived at the front gate of the Academy. These pounding melodies sing eternally, as it is a blessing played by the Goddess of Living Object to ward away the Chaotic Influence emitted by this squalid island.

At the gate stand Guard a Pandeka, a warrior from the earth tribe with platinum white hair and eyes, emerging two and a half meters tall (8 feet). He wore a holy white martial uniform, and on his waist hang a pair of [Karambit Knives], made out of the holy platinum, bathed in light and sharpness.

"Good morning, Your Highness. Just right on time for your first day." He greeted me with a formal smile of his. He glanced at the silver plate on my upper sleeve, indicating my nobility as the royalty of this island.

"Good morning Sir Dennis, it's a somewhat embarrassing, but we're a bit overslept this morning," I smiled awkwardly.

To be honest, I pretty much know almost every single person affiliated with The Academy. Guards are no exception.

"All is fine, Your Highness. You're not late, and better not be, so please come in! Everyone already gathered at the auditorium for the opening ceremony."

As he showed us the way in, both Anna and I quickly dashed to the designated location. Alas, we're finally ready to start our first day as the archstudent of the Academy.
