Date: 5th March, Stellar Year 2924,
Late Spring Night
The drive back home was quiet. Not the heavy silence born from fear.
Not the sharp silence of unfinished arguments.
This was something else.
The quiet that comes after an emotional storm… when the body finally understands it has survived the day and is allowed to rest.
Festival lights slowly faded behind them as the car moved into the calmer residential districts of Capaldi. The glowing lanterns grew fewer. The distant music softened into echoes. Even the wind seemed gentler now, carrying the faint scent of spring blossoms through the slightly open window.
Lena had fallen asleep somewhere between the botanical quarter and the third traffic signal.
At first, her head only leaned slightly toward the glass.
Then slowly…Almost unconsciously…
It shifted toward Dylan's shoulder.
He went completely still.
Not because he minded.
Because he didn't want to disturb it.
