Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: To Kill or Not To Kill

Amisha freaked out when she found out that the boy was indeed the monster, she quickly looked around her surroundings to make sure she was alone. She brought the boy to a quieter place, into the woods near the shrine, and put him down to the ground slowly. She was nervous and scared out of her mind. She took a deep breath and went into a deep thinking to decide whether she should kill him or not.

Before she was dispatched, she told herself that the monster was too dangerous to be left alive, but after witnessing the horror that mankind commit just to make sure the monster is dead, she changed her mind and was planning on letting the boy live if she actually finds him. Well, destiny sure has a sense of humor.

Numerous thoughts crossed her mind, "I should kill him!", "He is just a kid!", "He is a threat to all existence!", "But what if he isn't?", "Even if I spare him, doesn't mean others will, too many blood have been spilled because of him!" The boy began to cry, but she ignored him.

She kept on thinking for a while until she sensed someone else. "Who is it?" she asked, while preparing to pull out her dagger. The intruders reveal themselves as another hunters, sent to kill the monster. "Relax, you were sent to hunt the monster too right?" asked the man with a scar on his eyes. "We heard a baby's crying so we thought we should check what's up," said the other man who is holding a huge blade.

He continued, "Is that the baby who was making a ruckus?" while pointing his blade at the boy. "Well let's take a look shall we?" asked the man with the scar on his eyes while moving towards the boy.

"No!" Amisha's mouth slipped.

"Huh?", "What do you mean no?"

"I... eh... I... I have checked him!", " He is just a normal baby!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am certain!"

Both of the man look at each other, confused as to why the girl was so nervous, but they didn't feel anything odd about the baby since the baby didn't emit any violent energy as the monster should, so they couldn't care less.

"Well then.."

As they were about to leave, the man with the huge blade took a peek once again at the boy and noticed that the boy has purple eyes, "Wait a second, why does that boy has purple eyes?"

Amisha stuttered, "Well ehm, his mother also has purple eyes.. so..." "Speaking of which, where is his mother?" asked the man with a scar on his eyes.

Amisha began to panic and was trying to make an excuse. All of a sudden, the man with the scar on his eyes jumped pass her in an instant and grabbed the boy, "Purple you said?", "I have always wanted to have purple eyes." as he opened his eyes revealing that he was indeed blind.

His fingers started to move towards the boy's eyes as if he was about to take it out. Amisha quickly tried to stop him but it wasn't necessary, as the boy's eyes began to glow and all of the sudden the blind man's hand crumbles to ashes before it could reaches the boy's eyes.

"AAARGH!" the blind man screamed as he threw the baby to the ground. However the baby was saved by Amisha right before it hit the ground.

"There is no doubt about it, the baby did that, it could be the monster!" the blind man yelled.

"Well then, we have no choice but to kill him," said the other man, while lifting his blade, preparing to kill the baby.

"No!" Amisha's mouth slipped once again and raised the suspicion of both men. "You know what?", "You are right, we shouldn't kill him, you found him first, you should be the one to kill him." said the man with the large blade.

"I agree, just make sure not to damage the eyes, I want those!" yelled the blind man while holding his bloody hand, trying to keep the pain in check.

"So... How about it?"

Amisha quickly rethink what she was thinking not long ago, "To kill or not to kill?" Amisha could tell, both men were preparing to strike her down if she didn't kill the boy.

After a few seconds of thinking, Amisha had come to a conclusion,

"kill."
