Puente Antiguo – New Mexico
Wu Yang's gaze slowly shifted toward the man standing on the distant mound of earth.
The desert wind carried dust across the dry land, brushing over the massive crater where the mysterious hammer lay embedded. Around it, curious locals and travelers continued whispering and debating what they had just witnessed.
But Wu Yang's attention was no longer on the hammer.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he recognized the man observing the scene from afar.
"S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson," Wu Yang said calmly.
His voice carried faint amusement.
"Nothing here concerns us anymore. Let's go to Puente Antiguo."
Without waiting for a response, Jack grabbed Pepper's hand and began walking toward his sedan.
Pepper immediately tried to pull her hand away.
"Let go!" she protested angrily. "Let go of me, I can walk myself!"
She struggled to break free from Wu Yang's grip, but his hold was firm and unyielding.
Jack ignored her resistance entirely.
Moments later, the black sedan roared to life and sped away from the crater, heading east toward the small desert town of Puente Antiguo.

On the Road to Puente Antiguo
The car moved steadily across the dusty road.
Outside the window, the endless desert landscape stretched under the bright sun. Wind swept across the sand in long waves, and the distant plateau shimmered under the heat.
Pepper finally broke the silence.
"What are you going to Puente Antiguo for?" she asked.
Jack's eyes remained on the road.
"Looking for beautiful women."
Pepper rolled her eyes in disgust.
"You're no different from a stallion."
Her tone was dripping with sarcasm.
"Alice and Ada actually follow someone like you. Their eyes must be completely blind."
Jack chuckled softly.
"You really have a venomous tongue."
He glanced sideways at her briefly.
"If someone heard you talking like this, they might think the two of us also have that kind of relationship."
Pepper's expression hardened instantly.
"That's impossible," she said firmly.
Her voice carried absolute certainty.
"You've done too many disgusting things to me. I wish I could tear you apart with my own hands. Only then would the hatred in my heart disappear."
Jack shrugged lightly.
"If saying those things makes you feel better, go ahead."
His tone was casual.
"After all, verbal artillery won't solve anything."
Pepper turned away from him.
"Hateful."
Her voice was low, filled with anger.

Puente Antiguo Fast-Food Restaurant
Not long after, the black sedan arrived in the small desert town.
Puente Antiguo was quiet and humble. A few dusty streets crossed the settlement, and the buildings looked aged under years of desert wind and sun.
Jack parked near a small fast-food restaurant.
Inside the restaurant, the smell of fried food and baked pastries filled the air.
At a nearby table sat four people.
Two men.
Two women.
One of the men stood out immediately.
He was extremely tall and muscular, his broad shoulders making the chair beneath him look almost fragile. His expression carried a strange mixture of arrogance and curiosity, like someone experiencing this world for the first time.
The four had just sat down when the large man suddenly shouted loudly:
"I'm hungry! Hurry and bring food!"
One of the women sighed.
"Just wait. We'll get you something to eat."
Another woman leaned closer and whispered quietly:
"Jane, don't you think he looks like someone who just came down from the mountains? He doesn't understand anything about this world."
The large man immediately protested.
"Mountains?"
He pointed proudly to himself.
"I come from Asgard!"
His voice rose dramatically.
"I am Thor, son of Odin, the King of the Gods. I am the God of Thunder!"
The woman named Jane smiled helplessly.
"You're very sick," she said patiently.
"Seriously sick."
"But don't worry, we won't discriminate against you just because you're mentally ill."
Just then a waitress approached their table carrying a tray.
"Here are the cakes, pastries, and drinks you ordered."
She set the tray down.
"You can eat now."
The big man's eyes lit up.
Without hesitation he grabbed the food and began devouring it.
He ate like a starving wolf.
"These things are incredible!" he exclaimed between bites.
"I've never eaten anything like this before!"
"The flavor is wonderful!"
Jane laughed softly.
"If you like it, you can order more."
"Eat slowly. No one is going to steal your food."
Another girl sitting nearby giggled.
"He's like a monster."
"But it's kind of impressive."

Jack and Pepper Enter
At that moment, Jack and Pepper walked into the restaurant.
Jack's eyes immediately swept across the room.
He quickly recognized the group sitting at the nearby table.
Jane Foster.
Thor.
Darcy Lewis.
Erik Selvig.
Jack's expression remained calm, but inside he felt a spark of interest.
So the story has already reached this stage…
He walked toward an empty table directly beside them.
Pepper followed reluctantly.
They ordered a few pastries and drinks.
Jack leaned back in his chair.
"Why aren't you eating?" he asked Pepper.
Pepper glared at him.
"What exactly did you come here for?"
Her tone was full of dissatisfaction.
Jack smiled lightly.
"As an astronomer, I'm very interested in the strange atmospheric phenomena happening here."
Pepper stared at him.
"Astronomer?"
Darcy suddenly overheard the conversation.
Her eyes lit up.
"Jane, did you hear that?" she said excitedly.
"He's an astronomer! That means he studies the strange atmospheric phenomena here too!"
Jane frowned slightly.
"Darcy, don't jump to conclusions."
Darcy ignored her.
"I thought the two of you could work together," she continued.
"If you cooperated, the research might progress faster!"
Thor lifted his drink and swallowed it in one huge gulp.
"Tasty!"
He slammed the empty cup onto the table.
"Bring me another one!"
Then suddenly—
He threw the cup behind him.
The ceramic shattered against the floor.
Fragments flew across the room.
One piece bounced against Jack's face.
Pepper immediately stood up.
"What are you doing?!"
Jane rushed over.
"I'm so sorry!"
She bowed slightly toward Jack.
"My friend has… some problems."
Her expression was apologetic.
"He damaged your things. Please forgive him."
Jack wiped the small drop of spilled drink from his cheek.
"It's fine."
He smiled calmly.
"Your friend is actually very interesting."
Jane turned toward Thor angrily.
"Thor! What are you doing?"
"Why did you smash the cup?"
Thor looked confused.
"What's the problem?"
"I wanted another drink."
Jane took a deep breath.
"If you want another drink, you ask for it politely."
"You don't smash the cup!"
Thor shook his head.
"You Midgard people are strange."
"In Asgard we always do it like that."
Jane quickly turned back to Jack.
"My friend likes saying nonsense."
"Please don't mind him."
Jack smiled.
"He mentioned Asgard earlier."
His eyes flickered with interest.
"That place exists in Norse mythology."
"If your friend really came from there… that's quite extraordinary."
Jane blinked.
"You actually believe that place might exist?"
She laughed slightly.
"He's just insane."
"I don't believe it."
Jack looked directly into her eyes.
"Science cannot disprove what it hasn't fully explored."
"Just because something sounds mythical doesn't mean it doesn't exist."
Jane nodded thoughtfully.
"That makes sense."
"You study astronomy too?"
Jack smiled.
"I love it deeply."
He leaned forward slightly.
"My instruments detected unusual fluctuations in space around this area."
His tone carried curiosity.
"I believe something extraordinary is happening here."
"That's why I came."
Jane's face brightened.
"You're researching here too?"
She extended her hand.
"Maybe we can exchange ideas."
"I'm Jane Foster."
Jack reached out and shook her hand.
"Tom."
He deliberately used a false name.
After all, the name Jack had already become one of the most feared names in the world.
Jane smiled warmly.
"Nice to meet you, Tom."
She gestured toward the empty seat.
"May I sit here?"
"Of course," Jack said.
But he still hadn't released her hand.
Jane laughed awkwardly.
"Could you let go of my hand first?"
Jack quickly released it.
"Sorry."
He smiled.
"I was too excited to meet someone in the same field."
Pepper snorted loudly.
This hypocritical scumbag.
She wished she could rip off his disguise and reveal to everyone that the man sitting here was humanity's public enemy.
Jane then looked toward Pepper.
"And this is?"
Jack answered immediately.
"You can call her Pepper."
"She's my assistant."
He grinned mischievously.
"She has a bit of a hot temper. Very cold on the outside… a little tsundere."
Pepper frowned instantly.
"I am not your assistant."
Jack laughed.
"See?"
"Tsundere."
Jane nodded with understanding.
"I see."
Then she hesitated slightly.
"But why would you choose an assistant like—"
She stopped halfway through the sentence.
But everyone understood what she meant.
Jack leaned back in his chair.
"Because I'm a very kind person."
His smile turned slightly sinister.
"If stray cats and dogs leave me, they won't survive."
Pepper clenched her fists.
"You bastard!"
Her voice burst out angrily.
"You should die."
