Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

"Facial recognition: sixty-seven points matched. Overlapping contrast comparison shows a seventy-nine percent probability."

Jack's fingers moved rapidly across the holographic keyboard while streams of data flashed over the screen. The face displayed there was sharp-featured, pale, and filled with arrogant confidence.

Loki.

Even through the surveillance footage, the Asgardian prince carried the air of someone who believed the entire world existed beneath him.

"Location?" Coulson immediately asked, walking closer with a serious expression.

"Germany. Stuttgart. Königstraße, 28th Street." Jack enlarged the image lazily. "And judging by his movements, he doesn't seem interested in hiding at all."

On the giant screen, Loki walked calmly through the streets in a black suit, carrying the glowing scepter in one hand as if he were attending a formal banquet instead of preparing an alien invasion.

Nick Fury's face darkened slightly. He turned toward Steve Rogers.

"Captain. You're up."

Steve nodded without hesitation. "Understood."

Beside him, Coulson almost looked excited.

"Captain, come with me. We've already prepared your combat uniform." Coulson tried hard to sound calm, but the excitement in his voice was impossible to hide. To him, Steve Rogers was more than a soldier—he was a legend walking in real life.

Steve gave a helpless smile and followed Coulson out.

Fury then looked toward Natasha and Jack.

"Romanoff, you're transporting the Captain. Tom, you go with her."

"Yes, sir," Jack replied immediately.

As Jack passed Maria Hill, Hill spoke in a low voice that only he could hear.

"Be careful."

Jack glanced sideways at her, a faint evil smile flashing in his eyes.

"I always am."

Hill frowned slightly. For some reason, this soldier named Tom constantly gave her an indescribably strange feeling.

Meanwhile, far away in Germany…

---

Stuttgart, Germany. Königstraße.

Rain clouds drifted across the night sky, covering the moonlight over the luxurious upper-class gathering hall. Elegant music played softly inside the building while wealthy politicians, businessmen, and nobles enjoyed wine beneath crystal chandeliers.

Then—

The doors opened.

Loki walked slowly down the staircase.

The atmosphere instantly changed.

A black-clothed security guard stepped forward nervously.

"Sir, you can't—"

Bang!

The scepter in Loki's hand smashed directly into the man's chest, sending him crashing violently onto the marble floor.

Screams erupted throughout the hall.

Loki's eyes swept across the crowd coldly, filled with superiority and contempt.

Humans.

Weak creatures.

Pathetic creatures.

A bald elderly man standing on the stage turned around in shock, but Loki had already appeared before him like a phantom. He grabbed the man by the throat and slammed him down onto the floor.

"Ahhh!"

The crowd panicked instantly.

Loki calmly removed a strange metallic instrument from his coat. The sharp device spun rapidly with a mechanical whine before Loki stabbed it directly into the old man's eye.

"AHHHHH!"

The old man screamed miserably, his body convulsing violently.

People fled toward the exits in terror.

Loki slowly stood up, enjoying the fear surrounding him. A smile spread across his face.

Yes.

This feeling.

This was what a god deserved.

Golden armor spread across Loki's body like liquid metal, replacing the black suit. Illusions multiplied around him instantly.

One Loki became two.

Two became four.

Then dozens.

The clones surrounded the crowd from every direction.

Police sirens echoed outside.

Two police vehicles stopped near the entrance.

Loki casually raised the scepter.

BOOM!

Blue energy blasted forward, instantly exploding one of the police cars into flames.

People screamed even louder.

Loki spread his arms slowly and looked over the terrified crowd.

"Kneel."

No one moved.

Loki's expression darkened.

"I said… kneel."

This time, one man trembled and dropped to his knees.

Then another.

Then another.

Within seconds, the entire crowd knelt before him.

Loki began laughing wildly.

"Excellent. This is humanity's true nature. You crave freedom, individuality, power…" Loki's voice echoed through the plaza. "But in the end, all of you were born to be ruled."

He walked among the kneeling crowd slowly like a king inspecting insects.

"Freedom is life's greatest lie."

An old German man suddenly stood up from the crowd.

"We will never bow to men like you."

The surroundings fell silent.

Loki stared at the old man coldly.

"There are no men like me."

The old man's eyes showed no fear.

"There are always men like you."

Loki's smile disappeared completely.

"Then let this old fool be an example."

The scepter glowed blue.

Energy shot toward the old man.

But suddenly—

CLANG!

A shield blocked the blast.

The reflected energy slammed directly back into Loki.

"UGH!"

Loki was blasted backward onto the ground.

Gasps spread through the crowd.

A man wearing a blue combat uniform stood before the old man holding a circular shield.

Captain America.

People immediately recognized him.

"Captain America…"

"It's Captain America!"

Steve Rogers looked down coldly at Loki.

"The last time I was in Germany," Steve said calmly, "people who wanted absolute power were stepping on everyone else too."

Loki slowly stood up laughing.

"Captain America…" Loki smiled mockingly. "I heard about you from Barton. A relic from the past. A loser pretending to be a hero."

Steve's eyes hardened.

"Not today."

Steve rushed forward instantly.

Loki swung the scepter casually.

Bang!

Steve was smashed backward onto the pavement.

The surrounding civilians screamed again.

Steve rolled once and stood up immediately, charging again. The two exchanged blows rapidly beneath the flashing police lights, but it was obvious Steve was at a disadvantage. Loki's strength far surpassed normal humans.

Above the city, a Quinjet hovered silently.

Inside the aircraft, Natasha frowned while monitoring Loki's countless clones.

"Too many illusions," she muttered. "It's hard to get a clean shot."

Jack sat beside her lazily.

"Then just attack all of them."

Natasha shot him a cold glance.

"And accidentally kill civilians? That's a great way to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D.'s reputation."

Jack raised both hands innocently.

"My mistake. Makes sense."

Then suddenly—

"Agent Romanoff."

A man's voice echoed through the Quinjet speakers.

Natasha and Jack looked outside immediately.

A red-and-gold armored figure descended from the clouds like a missile.

Iron Man.

Tony Stark landed dramatically above the battlefield.

Jack's lips curved upward slightly.

"Looks like he recovered pretty well."

Natasha frowned.

"What did you say?"

Jack leaned back casually.

"I mean after suffering such a huge psychological blow, recovering this quickly is impressive."

Natasha's eyes instantly turned colder.

"Some people deserve worse."

Jack smiled faintly.

"Maybe Jack should've oppressed him harder."

The moment the name "Jack" was spoken, Natasha's expression changed immediately.

"Don't say that name in front of me."

Jack blinked innocently.

"Sir really hates him."

Natasha's fists tightened unconsciously.

Hate?

No.

It wasn't that simple anymore.

That bastard had humiliated her, toyed with her, burned himself into her memory like poison. Every time she remembered him, anger and shame twisted together inside her chest.

Jack noticed her expression and suppressed a laugh internally.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Tony landed between Steve and Loki.

"Okay, Shakespeare in the Park," Tony said casually. "Drop the magic stick."

Loki narrowed his eyes.

"And who are you?"

"Genius billionaire playboy philanthropist."

Jack nearly laughed out loud hearing the familiar line.

Natasha glanced suspiciously toward him again.

Why did this soldier react to things like he already knew what would happen?

Before she could think further, Loki suddenly attacked.

The battle exploded instantly.

Blue energy blasts lit up the streets.

Steve charged with his shield.

Tony fired repulsor beams.

Loki's clones scattered through the air like ghosts.

And sitting quietly inside the Quinjet, Jack watched everything unfold with an increasingly excited smile.

The Avengers were finally coming together.

The game…

Was beginning.
