Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The Hammer Industries Building was one of the very few structures in New York that still remained completely intact amidst the chaos consuming the city. While explosions, collapsing skyscrapers, and alien bombardments devastated the surrounding districts, a translucent layer of blue energy quietly covered the entire building like a protective dome. Flames reflected against the barrier, but not even the shockwaves from nearby explosions could leave a scratch on it.

This energy shield was one of White Queen's creations. Using the principles of the Arc Reactor as a foundation, she had developed and improved it far beyond its original design. As a result, while the outside world was descending into destruction, the building itself stood like an isolated island in the middle of a storm.

Inside the top floor, the atmosphere was anything but calm.

Hill stood before the projection screen, her fists clenched so tightly that her knuckles had already turned white. Through the giant holographic projection, she could clearly see New York burning.

Buildings collapsed.

Roads cracked apart.

Explosions erupted everywhere.

Countless civilians were fleeing in panic while alien soldiers poured endlessly from the sky.

And in the middle of all that destruction was Jack.

Grinding her teeth, Hill said, "His attacks are completely indiscriminate. The Chitauri army and the U.S. military are both his targets. The destruction has already reached this level. At least eighty percent of the responsibility belongs to him."

Her voice contained both anger and helplessness.

White Queen sat comfortably nearby, crossing her legs as if she were watching a movie rather than a war.

"Isn't that perfectly normal?" she asked with a smile.

Hill immediately glared at her.

"You said he would eliminate the Chitauri army."

White Queen shrugged.

"He is eliminating them."

Then she pointed toward the battlefield.

"Look carefully. Chitauri soldiers are dying everywhere."

"But," Hill said angrily, "he's destroying New York at the same time!"

White Queen spread her hands.

"That's because you misunderstood from the beginning."

Hill frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"He said he would eliminate the Chitauri army. He never said he would protect New York."

White Queen's tone remained calm.

"To Jack, everyone can become a target. Humans, aliens, soldiers, heroes—it doesn't really matter."

She smiled slightly.

"Even if New York is completely destroyed, what loss does he suffer?"

"Hateful!"

Hill slammed a fist against the table.

The image of countless civilians running for their lives flashed through her mind.

As an agent, she had spent years protecting people.

Watching everything fall apart while being trapped inside this building was torture.

White Queen looked completely unconcerned.

"You can be angry all you want. It won't change anything."

Then she leaned back lazily.

"Actually, you should look at the positive side."

Hill nearly laughed from disbelief.

"Positive?"

"Yes."

White Queen nodded seriously.

"Even if his methods are extreme, he's still killing Chitauri soldiers. If you were relying solely on the Avengers and the American military, eliminating the Chitauri army would be far more difficult."

Hill's face darkened.

"I have to get out there."

White Queen immediately shook her head.

"That isn't my decision."

"Move."

"No."

White Queen smiled.

"Unless Jack agrees, you're staying exactly where you are."

Hill's eyes narrowed.

"Then don't blame me for being impolite."

White Queen laughed.

"Save your strength."

She pointed at herself.

"Don't mistake me for someone easy to bully."

Then she pointed toward Natasha.

"Ask her."

Natasha sighed helplessly.

"The little monster is telling the truth."

She shook her head.

"I wouldn't even last a minute against her."

White Queen immediately raised her chin proudly.

"See?"

Hill's expression became even uglier.

"Just stay here obediently," White Queen said calmly. "Wait for Jack to come back and stop thinking about escaping."

Hill looked back toward the battlefield projection.

In her eyes flashed deep unwillingness.

"At this rate... New York will be completely destroyed."

White Queen followed her gaze.

"If New York gets destroyed, that's probably not a bad thing in Jack's opinion."

She shook her head.

"Honestly, we'd be lucky if he stopped at New York."

Natasha frowned.

"You think he'd go further?"

White Queen laughed.

"With Jack?"

She pointed at the battlefield.

"The bigger the chaos, the happier he becomes."

Then she pointed toward Stark Tower.

"See that?"

Hill and Natasha followed her finger.

The gigantic portal remained open.

More and more Chitauri forces continued emerging.

"He has absolutely no intention of closing the wormhole," White Queen said.

"He wants more enemies."

"More destruction."

"More chaos."

"The larger the battle becomes, the more excited he gets."

Hill clenched her teeth.

That wasn't a villain.

That was a walking catastrophe.

Meanwhile, high above the battlefield, Loki stood atop a dragon-type battleship.

His face was twisted with rage.

Below him, Shura King rampaged through the city like a mechanical god of destruction.

Entire blocks vanished wherever it passed.

"Jack!"

Loki roared furiously.

"I won't allow you to destroy everything I've built!"

His voice echoed through the battlefield.

"I am a god!"

"ROAR!"

Shura King immediately answered with an earth-shaking roar.

The steel beast spread its wings and prepared to charge.

"Shura King."

Jack's calm voice sounded.

"Relax."

The gigantic monster immediately stopped moving.

"Let me speak with this fool first."

Instantly, the terrifying beast became obedient.

Loki's face became even uglier.

"You think you've won?"

Loki pointed toward the portal.

"My army hasn't even fully arrived yet!"

His eyes burned with confidence.

"What you're seeing now is merely the appetizer."

Jack looked at him for several seconds.

Then he pointed at his own head.

"Loki."

"Are you sure everything up here is functioning properly?"

Loki froze.

"What?"

Jack tapped his forehead.

"Because from what I can tell, you're doing all your thinking with your backside."

White Queen burst out laughing through the communication channel.

Loki's face instantly turned red.

"Silence, mortal!"

Jack smiled.

"That's right."

"I'm a mortal."

Then his expression became mocking.

"But you're supposedly a god."

He paused.

"Unfortunately, the only word I can think of when I look at you is trash."

Loki nearly exploded from anger.

"Die!"

The dragon-type battleship beneath him immediately surged forward.

Jack sighed.

"You really are in a hurry to die."

Then he glanced toward Shura King.

"Teach him a lesson."

"ROAR!"

The steel beast opened its massive jaws.

A gigantic missile nearly fifteen meters long launched into the air.

It flew toward Loki like a meteor.

Loki's expression changed instantly.

"Move!"

"Dodge!"

Unfortunately, the dragon-type battleship was simply too large.

There wasn't enough time.

Instead of escaping, the creature opened its giant mouth and swallowed the missile whole.

For a moment, the battlefield fell silent.

Jack stared.

Then he laughed.

"Fool."

Only then did Loki realize what had happened.

His eyes widened.

"Oh no—"

BOOM!

The explosion lit up the sky.

Flames spread in every direction.

The dragon-type battleship exploded into countless pieces.

The shockwave tore through nearby buildings.

Chunks of burning metal rained from the heavens.

When the fire finally disappeared, Loki was nowhere to be seen.

Jack shook his head.

"Obviously a fool."

"Villains like that never survive for long."

Nearby, Alice looked toward him.

"Earlier, Tony mentioned someone called 'Sir.'"

"Is that the same person who attacked you before?"

Jack's smile slowly disappeared.

His eyes narrowed.

"You don't need to guess."

"It's definitely the same person."

Ada raised an eyebrow.

"So you already know?"

"Not completely."

Jack stared toward the battlefield.

"But I have a suspicion."

A dangerous smile appeared on his face.

"And whoever it is... they're clearly someone who enjoys playing games."

Ada laughed.

"Sounds like your kind of person."

"Exactly."

Jack nodded.

"That's what makes it interesting."

Alice crossed her arms.

"You sound excited."

"Of course."

Jack shrugged.

"An enemy without mystery isn't worth looking forward to."

He laughed softly.

"After all, once you've experienced things like Villain Space, Villain Points, and Movie Worlds..."

"Nothing feels impossible anymore."

Ada nodded.

"Fair enough."

Jack grinned.

"Exactly."

"Even if Nüwa suddenly appeared in front of me right now, I'd stay calm."

Ada immediately rolled her eyes.

"You're blaspheming a legendary sage."

"Be careful."

"Maybe she'll really appear and punish you."

Alice blinked.

"Nüwa?"

"A creator goddess from Chinese mythology," Ada explained.

Alice looked thoughtful.

"Sometimes I wonder whether myths are actually based on real events."

Jack nodded.

"Probably."

He looked toward the sky.

"Asgard exists."

"Many myths are simply distorted versions of reality."

Then his gaze shifted toward Stark Tower.

Suddenly, Ada pointed forward.

"Look."

"The Tesseract's energy is increasing."

Everyone turned.

Inside the machine atop Stark Tower, the Tesseract began spinning faster.

Three times faster.

The blue energy beam expanded dramatically.

The power being released increased at an astonishing rate.

Then—

The wormhole began expanding.

Ten times larger.

The sky itself looked as though it had been torn open.

Even Jack's expression became serious.

Then a roar echoed from the portal.

"ROAR!"

One dragon-type battleship emerged.

Then another.

Then another.

Ten.

Twenty.

Thirty.

More continued pouring out endlessly.

The sky darkened.

Hundreds of dragon-type battleships spread across New York.

They blocked out the sunlight.

Their enormous bodies twisted and circled through the air like steel dragons.

The sound of their roars shook the city.

For a brief moment, every person on the battlefield looked upward.

Heroes.

Soldiers.

Civilians.

Even the Chitauri themselves.

Everyone understood the same thing.

The invasion until now had merely been the beginning.

The true war had finally arrived.
