Vera had thought that saying stuff like that would surely make Victor Morgan back down, but who knew he was so loaded that he'd just outright offer to buy her out.
"I can settle the breach-of-contract penalty for you, as long as you come sign a five-year contract with my company from now on."
Hearing that, Vera started coughing anxiously.
Does this guy even speak human language?
This isn't saving her; it's clearly digging her a pit to jump in.
"Mr. Morgan, you really do have deep pockets, but we're talking about an eight-figure penalty here. You sure that's doable?"
Vera was just trying to scare him off, but Victor actually nodded straightforwardly: "That's not a problem, because you'll create much more value for me."
