Victor Morgan could clearly feel that she was hiding something from him. Her evasive expression, in particular, made him realize something was weighing on Vera Warner's mind.
He didn't know if it was because she no longer trusted him that she refused to tell him what was on her mind.
Victor Morgan was anxious as well. He felt an immense amount of guilt over Chloe Warner, and he would tear Aethelgard apart to find her.
"Leave this to me. Trust me, I will definitely find her."
With that, Victor Morgan opened the car door and got in himself. He sighed and said, "You've been running around all day. You should go home and rest first. Searching like a headless chicken like this is useless."
Vera Warner knew it was useless, of course. If the organization didn't return her, no one would be able to find her.
