Victor Morgan's thoughts were a mess. He had a strange feeling about this woman named Vera Warner, and the way Chloe Warner looked at him felt oddly familiar.
Victor was eager to get to the bottom of things, so he couldn't help but ask, "Sylvia, since everyone is here now, just tell me what's going on. I want to know."
Victor was referring to why he was injured, his relationship with Vera Warner, and, of course, the little girl.
Victor wanted to sort everything out to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings.
Seeing Vera Warner about to speak, Sylvia immediately cut in nervously, "I was planning to tell you everything, but you have another check-up soon. We should focus on your health first."
Vera Warner couldn't help but find Sylvia's anxiousness amusing. She spoke up, "Miss Schuyler, there's no need to be so scared. I only brought the children here to visit. I have no other intentions, and I certainly won't get in the way of your plans."
