Vera didn't know what to feel as she listened to his story; all she felt was a surge of rage rushing to her head.
'Back then, I was schemed against in my own home. And later, while I was pregnant, the only person around was that woman, Luna Warner. Why didn't I realize then that this vicious woman was behind it all?'
Vera closed her eyes. "So you slept with me back then?"
Victor Morgan recounted the events of that day truthfully. "I was drunk, but I was still conscious. I was originally going to send you away, but you forced yourself on me, throwing yourself into my arms."
Hearing this, Vera's eyes snapped open in anger. She furiously refuted Victor Morgan's words. "You're lying! How could I have thrown myself at you? I didn't know anything!"
Seeing her so agitated, Victor could tell she had indeed been drugged back then, which made his heart ache for her even more.
"I'm not lying. I later found out from a nurse that you had been drugged. I'm sure you can guess who did it."
