The two of them had once been a deeply devoted couple. Victor Morgan had even been on the verge of giving up the Morgan family for her, willing to leave with Sylvia Schuyler.
It showed just how profound their feelings had been. That it still came to this made Victor feel a little wistful, but falling in love with Vera Warner had made his life so much better, so he had no regrets.
"Victor, I've learned a few new dishes recently. Want to try them?"
Victor initially wanted to refuse, but seeing her sincere invitation, he figured they could still be friends after breaking up. There was no need to keep too much distance.
"Sure. Your cooking was always good. I'll give it a try."
Sylvia nodded happily. Victor told Special Assistant York to head back, then drove Sylvia home himself.
Special Assistant York had wanted to advise him to keep his distance at a time like this, but seeing Victor in a good mood, he didn't feel it was his place to say more and could only leave with a sigh.
