As another woman, Vera hadn't wanted to bring up what Sylvia had done in the past. After all, Victor now knew her true colors and was keeping his distance.
So Vera had no intention of mentioning those sordid matters again. Yet now Sylvia had the audacity to talk about who was worthy of whom, never considering that she herself was the one who was unworthy.
Vera sneered. "They say heaven is always watching. Did you really think everything you did in the past was safe just because it was filed away with the organization?"
At these words, the color instantly drained from Sylvia's face. She thought these things would never be known to the outside world, yet now they were coming from Vera's mouth.
She couldn't quite believe it. Besides, Ron had guaranteed back then that no one would ever see the things in there.
But looking at Vera's expression now, it was clear she knew about it.
