Victor could tell what she was thinking from her tone, and his expression grew solemn.
"Vera, it seems we're both thinking of the same person. You believe the one behind this must be Ron."
Vera Warner nodded. "No one else is capable of something so cruel. Victor, do you think it was a mistake for me to choose this company?"
Victor's heart ached for her sincerity. She had been doing her best just to help the company prosper, only to be schemed against. Now the factory was destroyed, they couldn't deliver the goods, and many more troubles would follow.
"Vera, you're not the one at fault. The ones to blame are those people. You only wanted to help this company. I'll think of a way to make up for this."
Vera Warner grabbed his hand. Thinking about how much Victor Morgan had already done for her, she could only shake her head.
