Vera retrieved the small knife, her eyes sweeping over the men. They trembled under her gaze but didn't believe she would actually dare to use it.
"Well? Are you still not going to talk? Don't force us to play rough."
These men were clients, after all. No matter what, Vera wouldn't actually hurt them. It was all a bluff. As long as they kept their mouths shut, she couldn't very well assault them.
The men remained stubborn. "This is how our company arranged it. We don't understand what you're talking about."
Seeing how uncooperative they were, Vera sighed and turned to Landon Ellison. "President Ellison, could I trouble you to step outside for a moment? I need to borrow Mrs. Ellison, if you don't mind."
The men had no idea what trick Vera was planning, but Landon Ellison, of course, trusted her.
As for Mrs. Ellison, it went without saying. She directly told him to leave. "President Ellison, you should go first. Since Vera has a plan, let's do as she says."
