Victor Morgan had actually noticed something was off for a while now. Since Vera wouldn't talk about it, he figured it must have something significant to do with him.
Sure enough, after his parents arrived today, their expressions and attitudes were clearly strange. Although Vera tried her best to hide it at first, Victor saw that something was different.
Plus, Gordon Morgan was acting like a completely different person. There was definitely a problem. So, Victor had asked about it deliberately, hoping to bring the issue to light and resolve it easily.
Vera replied helplessly, "I was just worried about your injuries. Besides, it's normal that your father can't accept my past. They're bound to be afraid of someone like me."
Vera could understand all of this, so she didn't blame them. However, the thought that this problem would still need to be solved in the future filled her with worry.
