To hear her praise Ian Lockwood like that, she must have had a great first impression of him. Victor Morgan couldn't help but tease her.
"Vera, praising another man right in front of me... Aren't you afraid I'll get angry and jealous? From the look of it, you like him more than me."
The woman grew anxious. "How could that be? You're the only one I love. Ian is just a good friend."
"Look at you, all worked up. Of course I know your feelings for me are the deepest. I was just teasing you. Let me try your cooking."
As he spoke, Victor Morgan began to taste the food she had made. Amazingly, it was nearly identical to Vera Warner's cooking. That, combined with her identical face, made it no wonder Chloe Warner had mistaken her for the real Vera before.
But Victor Morgan wouldn't be fooled. He knew Vera Warner intimately and was well aware of her true character.
She asked anxiously, "So? How is it? Do you like it?"
