Pei Mansion.
The Pei Mansion has been bustling these past two days. A group of doctors has been coming in and out, supposedly attending to the Young Madam of the Prime Minister Pei's family. They arrived confident but left disappointed.
At the main entrance, an elderly doctor clasped his hands, regretful: "Prime Minister Pei, please forgive this old man for being useless. The Young Madam's illness... it's truly incurable. I take my leave, I take my leave…"
The doctor kept apologizing and then turned to leave swiftly, as if a fierce beast were chasing him away.
Behind Prime Minister Pei, an aging steward approached and, observing the departing doctor, frowned, "Master, should we find a few more doctors?"
Prime Minister Pei waved his hand, "No need!"
His expression was slightly unpleasant. These quacks, they are truly quacks. They all claim to be renowned physicians, some even touting themselves as miraculous healers, but in the end?
