Carrying Ned over to one of the chairs in the lab I placed him in it gently.
I then turned back to the others.
"Pete." Harry mused.
"Harry, listen I'll answer any and all questions you have later, but right now let's turn our focus back to the main reason we ended up here in the first place. Liz." I spoke.
Harry then looked at me for a few seconds before nodding. "Okay." He replied.
"Thank you." I said. I then turned to Reed and Susan. "So, Reed, Susan, as you were saying before Johnny so casually revealed my secret identity to my friends."
"Sorry, I just thought since they were your friends they knew." Johnny said. Finally having stopped clutching his balls and now back on his feet.
"Well you presumed too much." I quickly told him. "Now again, Reed, Susan, please continue."
"Of course." Reed replied. "Now then the second thing we've discovered from our preliminary tests is quite extraordinary. Because they've revealed to us miss Allen isn't actually generating fire and heat from her own body directly, like in the case with Johnny, but rather she is producing those effects as a by product of her true ability, which is the absorption and manipulation of microwaves and radiation." He explained. "In fact miss Allen's powers tie her directly to the weak nuclear force itself."
"Shit!" Gwen exclaimed.
"Oh fuck." Harry muttered.
"Okay, what am I missing here?" Felicia asked.
"Felicia the weak nuclear force is one of the four fundamental forces that shape the very universe itself and can explain many of the major events that take place it. Since the other three fundamental forces are gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong nuclear force. While the weak nuclear force is most closely associated with nuclear reactions. And nuclear reactions are what take places in the stars themselves, like our own sun." I explained.
Felicia getting an understandably shocked expression on her face after I finished explaining to her the true depth of Liz's powers.
"Damn, so Allen is a living nuclear reactor." Felicia muttered.
"Well simply put, yes." I replied.
Yeah, Liz is so broken it's not even funny. I mean she has the potential to be an omega-level threat in the same category as Magneto, given he manipulates the fundamental force of electromagnetism.
"Wait, but isn't that dangerous. Especially since radiation is poisonous to humans in large quantities?" Liz asked. "Am I going to kill everyone around me?"
"Worry not miss Allen. I assure you we will not let that come to pass." Reed confidently spoke.
"Yeah, we won't." I added. "Trust us Liz." I said. I then turned to Reed. "Okay, so with the explanation out of the way let's move onto the next steps."
"And those are?" Harry asked.
"Creating a way to help Liz safely contain her powers when she isn't actively learning to control them. As well as a way to shield her from any vouyers, since her X-Gene is active now and given what we just leaned about the potential strength Liz could display in the future I'm sure there isn't a short list of any number of organizations that would just love to try and get their hands on her." I spoke.
Yeah, I'm currently not ready to be dragged into the X-Men, Brotherhood, Weapon-X, mutant world bullshit, and all that it entails.
Unless absolutely necessary mind you.
"Not to mention making sure miss Allen's own powers aren't potentially lethal to her own personal well-being." Susan added.
Stealing the last thing I was going to say.
But I'm fine with it. Since it carries a bit more weight coming from Susan.
Especially since she's right. Because I don't want Liz to develop cancer like her comic book counterpart.
"Alright, now that we know what we have to do let's get to work." I said.
"I'd like to assist as well if you don't mind." Gwen proposed.
"Of course not. The more the merrier." Susan said.
Leading Gwen to smile. Once she did she walked over to me, Reed, and Susan.
"Ugh, just looking at all that brain power makes me head hurt." Johnny muttered.
"But with it it means young Lizzie is going to be just fine." Ben commented.
"Indeed." HERBIE chimed in. While watching over Ned.
Who was still unconscious.
Moving on.
Once the four of us got together we started working immediately.
But thankfully we didn't have to start from scratch given Reed and Susan already had several ideas and plans we could use as starting points to figure out a way to help Liz.
All based on data and research they got from Johnny.
Because although his and Liz's power sets are fundamentally different they do share certain similarities, and that was enough for us to work with.
So with that it didn't take us more than a few hours to create a short-term solution for Liz.
At least so she could return home for the night and try and get some semblance of peace.
Which was in the form of a bracelet.
"This will suppress your powers and shield you from any active scans zeroing in on your X-Gene." Susan explained, as she place the bracelet on Liz's wrist. "But please remember miss Allen, this is not a long-term solution. If you become too emotional the bracelet will fail. So try and stay calm."
"Understood." Liz replied.
Just as Susan finished securing the bracelet around her wrist.
Once she did Liz ran over to Harry and embraced him in a tight hug.
Fully clothed for the record.
Since the moment we arrived here the F4 made the excellent decision to give Liz a suit made of unstable molecules.
While the two love-birds got in some hug time the rest of prepared to leave.
Including Ned that had finally woken up.
As we did Reed handed me a flash drive.
"What's this?" I asked.
"All the data we collected in miss Allen data, not to mention the plans for the X-Gene shielding and even the formulae for the unstable molecules." He explained.
My eyes going wide at his words.
"Thank you Reed. But why are you giving this to me?" I asked.
"Because I trust you Peter. I also know that Liz is your friend and you'll want to help her yourself. Since I know that you can. I also know you likely have a place you can do that. Or will after today. That's why I'm giving you all this." He explained.
"Thank you." I replied, shaking Reed's hand.
Especially since we just took another step forward in the trust department.
But more importantly than that now that I have this data it means one thing.
Future Foundation suit bitches!
As Kiteman would say: Hell yeah!
