"No, it's not."
"Not? Then how do you explain Andre being in room 608? How do you explain Andre drinking the drugged water and liquor?"
As the whip cracked crisply on the ground, Sinclair Drew trembled and said, "I understand, I understand."
Joy Bennett stepped forward two steps, reached out, and pinched Sinclair Drew's chin, "Speak."
"Ned Mamet, it must have been Ned Mamet."
"Ned Mamet?"
"Ned Mamet is the person staying in room 607."
Sinclair Drew didn't know Ned Mamet had come to Lake City, much less knew he was staying in 607. It was only after the incident that she found out Ned Mamet was at the hotel and realized he stayed in 607.
Ned Mamet was a close friend of Audrey Price. He probably exposed Sinclair Drew's plan and then cleverly turned the tables against her.
The more she thought, the more certain Sinclair Drew became. She asserted, "It's him, it must be him. Miss Bennett, if you want revenge, go after him. It's definitely him."
