"Is that… true?"
Instead of answering her, Misho let his incubus instincts take over. He closed his eyes and touched her lips with his own.
Pear's eyes widened.
She slowly closed her eyes and tears poured out.
"Misho…" Maia held her chest. She took a deep breath and walked to the window with shaky steps. She stared out into the distance, the morning sun shining on her face.
He pulled back and a string of saliva connected him with Pear.
She opened her eyes and blinked. She calmly stared at him.
"Are you okay now?"
"W-w-who would be okay after hearing that!?" Pear shouted. Her face blushing, and uncontrollably smiling.
"Ahahaha. It seems to have worked."
Misho gently released Pear's wrists. She frowned at him and rubbed her aching cuffs.
"Was that a lie?" Pear asked.
She quickly realized why he said that.
"…Do you want to hear the answer to that question?"
"No."
Pear quickly shook her head. She had an idea of what his answer would be, and she was afraid of hearing it.
