Chapter 381 - Chapter 390 Minerva Glass part 2

Aizen nodded. "No problem, as long as it's within my power."

After Minerva Glass wiped away her tears and put on her sunglasses, Aizen left with her to pay the bills and complete the necessary paperwork.

This busy period lasted until dusk.

"Mr. Aizen, thank you so much for today!"

Minerva Glass bowed deeply to Aizen, expressing her sincere gratitude.

"You're welcome, Miss Glass. I just happened to encounter this situation. If I didn't help, my conscience would feel uneasy," Aizen said politely.

As he said this, he completely ignored the fact that he himself was the murderer.

"It's just me and… Oh no!"

Minerva Glass suddenly exclaimed, as if realizing something.

Aizen asked in confusion, "What's wrong?"

"It's my mother!"

Minerva Glass said anxiously. "My mother is still waiting for me at the hotel, but I haven't gone back yet. She must be worried sick."

Aizen smiled and said, "Oh, is that all? Glass, you don't need to worry. If your mother were really worried about you, she would definitely call you. Since you haven't received a call, it means she's reassured."

"No, Mr. Aizen, you don't understand," Minerva Glass explained. "My mother is blind; she can't see. She came to France to encourage me on the day of the finals. I left her alone at the hotel and haven't contacted her for so long. She must be very worried."

Aizen said, "Then try calling the hotel and see if your mother can answer."

Minerva Glass replied, "Mr. Aizen, I need to go back to the hotel now. If you have time, I'd like to treat you to dinner tonight as a token of my gratitude."

Aizen nodded. "Let's talk on the way."

The two left the hospital together. On the way, Minerva Glass called the hotel.

The phone rang, but no one answered, which made her even more worried.

About half an hour later, Aizen and Minerva Glass arrived at the hotel by taxi.

Back at the hotel, Minerva Glass went straight to her room, with Aizen following behind.

When she arrived at the room, Minerva Glass saw her mother sitting on the floor, groping around. She immediately called out and ran over, carefully helping her up.

Aizen stood at the door, saying nothing and doing nothing.

Minerva Glass's mother had naturally been very worried since her daughter hadn't returned for so long. She asked if something had happened, knowing that her daughter wouldn't have come back so late without a reason.

"Mom, Ares… Ares… he…"

Minerva Glass stammered, her expression grief-stricken, unable to finish her sentence.

Hearing this, her mother anxiously asked, "What happened to Ares? What happened?"

"He… he was in a car accident, and he died!"

Minerva Glass said as she hugged her mother and burst into tears.

"How… how could this be?! He was fine during the day!"

Minerva Glass's mother was also in disbelief. Tears streamed down her face behind her purple-rimmed glasses as she grieved deeply.

Aizen knew it wasn't appropriate for him to stay there at that moment, as he was an outsider. Therefore, he wisely stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him.

About ten minutes later, the door opened and Minerva Glass came out, inviting Aizen inside.

Minerva Glass's mother was sitting on the bed when Aizen and Minerva Glass walked over.

Minerva Glass said, "Mom, this is the kind Mr. Aizen. We are very grateful for his help today."

"Thank you, Mr. Aizen. I am Juno Glass, Minerva's mother."

"Hello, ma'am."

Aizen nodded. Only now did he have time to properly observe Minerva Glass's mother. He found that the woman was remarkably well-preserved and looked only in her thirties. Although the system hadn't given any indication, Aizen felt that this woman deserved at least an 88 out of 100.

"Hm, this woman is someone I can get my hands on. I can't let her go."

Aizen's heart stirred, and he immediately began making plans. He wasn't going to let Juno Glass go; he could have both mother and daughter. When they were together, it would surely be even more intoxicating.

Juno Glass spoke again. "Mr. Aizen, I was truly rude earlier, making you wait outside for so long."

"It's nothing."

Aizen smiled, looking into Juno Glass's gray eyes, and asked, "Madam, are you completely blind?"

"Yes. I lost my sight in a car accident eight years ago, and I haven't been able to see since," Juno Glass said calmly, without any sign of anger.

Aizen said, "To be honest, I know a little Chinese medicine. If you don't mind, I could try to see if I can treat you."

Juno Glass smiled and said, "There's no need to trouble you, Mr. Aizen. My eyes have completely lost their light; there's no possibility of treatment."

Minerva Glass spoke up. "Mom, why don't you let Mr. Aizen take a look?"

It wasn't that Minerva had much faith in Aizen's medical skills, but as a daughter, she didn't want to give up even if there was only a small glimmer of hope.

"You…"

Juno Glass shook her head. She knew her daughter meant well and didn't want to insist otherwise, so she said, "Then I'll trouble you, Mr. Aizen."

"Then I'll give it a try."

Aizen said as he sat down by the bedside, not far from Juno Glass. He took out a cloth bag containing golden needles and spread it out on the bed.

Seeing this, Minerva Glass asked in surprise, "Mr. Aizen, where did you get that from?"

"I know a few magic tricks," Aizen replied calmly. "I used magic to get it."
