Chapter 418 - Chapter 427 The Last Wizard of the Century part 10

There was a computer in the office, so Aizen turned it on and started searching for Natsumi Kosaka's location.

"She's on her way. Looks like I need to keep track of the time and try to bump into her."

Seeing the red dot on the map slowly moving towards the museum, Aizen smiled slightly. He calculated the time and found she would arrive in about ten minutes, so he made his decision.

After shutting down the computer, Aizen left the office and slowly walked downstairs, not in a hurry.

Suzuki Museum of Modern Art, a taxi stopped outside.

A moment later, a woman and an old man got out of the car. The woman was none other than Natsumi Kosaka, whom Aizen had met in Paris.

Looking at the enormous art museum ahead, Natsumi Kosaka said, "Grandpa Sawabe, this is the Suzuki Museum of Modern Art. The Egg of Memories should be inside."

The old man, Sawabe, nodded. "You've never seen it before, Miss. We told the Suzuki Foundation about our discovery, hoping they could let you see it."

"The Egg of Memories, made by my great-grandfather, must be very beautiful."

Natsumi Kosaka said wistfully, then walked inside.

"Natsumi?"

An uncertain greeting sounded from inside.

"That's... Aizen's voice?"

Hearing the greeting, Natsumi Kosaka's body trembled. She looked in the direction of the voice and saw the man standing a few meters away—the man she had been thinking about ever since that farewell. The hero rescuing the damsel in distress is a cliché, but the woman who is rescued often develops feelings for the man, especially if he's handsome. Even knowing that Aizen and the damsel in distress are secretly in love, she might still be tempted by his actions.

Upon returning to Japan, Natsumi Kosaka was torn about whether to contact Aizen. She hesitated, wondering if she should. She hesitated again, feeling conflicted. "Natsumi, is it really you?" Aizen approached Natsumi, feigning surprise.

"Aizen, what are you doing here?" Natsumi couldn't contain her excitement, a joyful smile spreading across her face.

Aizen said, "It's like this. Phantom Thief Kid wants to steal the Egg of Memories, and I was invited to protect it, so naturally I'm here. But weren't you in Paris? What brings you here?"

"My grandmother passed away last month, and I came back to handle her funeral arrangements,"

Natsumi Kousaka said somberly. Then, she straightened up and said, "While sorting through my grandmother's belongings, I found a drawing by my great-grandfather. Although it was a bit worn, it had 'memories' written on it, and the drawing looked exactly like the Egg of Memories, so I came here."

"I see!"

Aizen feigned surprise, then looked at the old man and asked, "Natsumi, is this gentleman a member of your family?"

Natsumi Kousaka replied, "I almost forgot. Let me introduce you. This is my family's butler, Grandpa Sawabe. Grandpa Sawabe was hired by my great-grandfather and has been with our family for decades."

"Hello, I am the butler, Sawabe Kuranosuke."

Aizen said politely, "Hello, Butler Sawabe, I am Aizen, Natsumi's friend."

Natsumi Kousaka spoke up, "Aizen, since you are helping to protect the Egg of Memories, could I meet the owner of the Egg of Memories?"

"It's not possible at this time."

Aizen said, "The owner of the Egg of Memories is at the hotel right now, and it's not appropriate for us to disturb them. If you're not in a hurry, I can introduce you to them tomorrow morning, what do you think?"

"Then I'll leave it to you, Aizen!"

Natsumi Kousaka thanked him upon hearing this. She didn't necessarily have to meet the person tonight; meeting them tomorrow morning was the same to her.

Aizen asked, "Natsumi, are you from Osaka?"

"No!"

Natsumi Kosaka shook her head. "My home is in Yokosuka. I just arrived in Osaka recently."

Aizen asked, "Have you decided where you'll be staying tonight?"

"Not yet!"

Natsumi Kosaka shook her head.

Aizen suggested, "In that case, I'll take you to a hotel."

"Thank you so much, Aizen!"

Natsumi Kosaka apologized happily. She was very happy to spend even a little more time with Aizen.

Aizen hailed a taxi, and the three of them got in and left.

Not long after the three of them left, Heiji Hattori and Conan walked to the art museum. Having already visited the castle tower but found nothing, the two had come here instead.

Heiji Hattori, hands in his pockets, said as he walked, "That Phantom Thief Kid is something else. He came up with a code that even we can't decipher. If he really steals the Egg of Memories, we'll be utterly humiliated."

Conan, feeling helpless, asked, "Hattori, what time is it?"

"It's 7:19, almost 7:20."

Heiji glanced at his watch and held it up to Conan so he could see it clearly.Conan glanced to the side and froze, the contents of the Phantom Thief Kid's announcement flashing through his mind. The twelfth character of the twelve characters matched the time represented by the current hands.

"Hattori, I know the exact time Phantom Thief Kid is going to steal the Egg of Memories!"

Hattori Heiji hurriedly asked, "What time is it?"

Conan ran outside, saying, "It's 7:20. The twelfth character represents 7:20. We need to go to the castle tower right now!" "

"My motorcycle is parked right outside. Let's go by motorcycle."

Hattori Heiji shouted, and the two ran towards where his motorcycle was parked.

When they arrived at the motorcycle, Hattori Heiji tossed a helmet to Conan. Just as Conan was about to put it on, raindrops hit his face; it was raining.

"It's raining? The weather forecast said tomorrow would be sunny. Why is it raining?"

Hattori Heiji muttered to himself in confusion. Just as he was about to put on the helmet, a sudden thought struck him. The glowing sky pavilion in Osaka certainly makes one think of Osaka Castle, but that doesn't mean the location is actually Osaka Castle. There's another place that can be described as a glowing sky pavilion, but most of the time, people won't immediately think of that place.
