Mrs. Geoffrey said nothing more, lowered her head, and looked again at Andrew in her arms with such a tender gaze.
Upon hearing a knock at the door, Rebecca Quentin went to open it.
The visitor was Mrs. Geoffrey.
"Becca, I hope I'm not disturbing your rest!"
Rebecca Quentin shook her head, her gaze fixed on Andrew, who was sleeping sweetly in Mrs. Geoffrey's arms.
Mrs. Geoffrey looked down at him, "He just had his milk and fell asleep."
"Why not let him sleep in bed? It's tiring for you to hold him like that."
"No, it's not tiring at all... This little guy, like his father, might be a light sleeper since childhood. The moment I walk away, he opens his eyes and insists on being held to sleep peacefully."
"Let me hold him..."
"Okay."
Mrs. Geoffrey carefully handed Andrew to Rebecca Quentin.
Andrew squirmed a bit in Rebecca Quentin's arms before falling asleep again.
Rebecca Quentin kissed Andrew tenderly and then carried him into the room.
