Lying on the large hotel bed, curled up with her back facing someone, Becca stared with reddened eyes, remaining silent.
Geoffrey was behind her, his hand resting on her waist, and after a long moment, he turned her around, observing Becca's tight-lipped expression, reaching out to touch her.
Becca turned her head away.
Geoffrey immediately chuckled softly, pressing his chin against Becca's tiny head, pulling her into his embrace, "We've already done it, and you blame me for breaking my promise?"
Becca bit her lip in shame and anger.
Geoffrey lowered his head and gave her a fond peck, "Don't be mad."
Becca promptly turned her face away once more.
Geoffrey cupped Becca's face, making her look at him, speaking gently, "Tonight I was indeed tired..."
Hearing the word "tired," Becca glared at him.
Geoffrey laughed lightly, "I wasn't finished speaking."
Becca's gaze remained intense.
"Originally, I planned to recuperate and then get going this morning..."
